So, if i understand well. you just need to render the tiles possibilities you want, for example: a material only with the tiles/ tiles with sand/ only sand. and with these 3 materials you blend with the paint brush in you engine (unity or unreal). if you make these 3 render without change the position of the tiles or change the variation of the sand, just change the height, i think you can make a perfect blend in your game engine.

i did that but i have a question. If i want to make the same texture but then when you put tiles to each other, how can i make the sand fade away ? so it looks like i come from the sand area to the stone tiles only field. Is that possible in a Engine ?
