Perfect! I actually made a video called "How to make videos like a pro" on YouTube that breaks down my process! :)
Davinci Resolve looks incredible - I'd love to learn it but currently I don't really have the time to learn an entire new workflow when I have something that already works really well... so for now I'm just sticking to Premiere Pro haha (even though Davinci Resolve seems to be better for colour grading actually).

Hi teo, really cool video and most of the stuff is easy to apply on davinci resolve. Can you make a video of literally your YouTube video making process? Also what do you think about davinci resolve?

Great, happy to read that. Ohh I see, thanks for the insight. I think the HSL section might be worth a deep-dive video to reeeally get a hang of it. I'll put that on my list for up-coming Patreon videos! :)

This is great, I did feel a little lost during the HSL secondary section. I couldn't really tell what settings were holding or not

Hi Frank! Good question. I usually make my look and then copy and paste the adjustment layer onto each clip after which I make individual adjustments. That way I am sort of applying the same colour grade to the entire video, however each clip is different in exposure, contrast, colour and such, so they all need their individual treatment on a more detailed level. Despite the need for adjustments, I think it is absolutely worth it to copy and paste the adjustment layer to not have to begin at 0 with each and every clip :)

Heyyy, I just got into colour grading and I was wondering do you use the same thing for the entire video or do you colour grade each clip individually and putting it all together in a video? Loved the video btw!

I used to use HLG2 in Rec.709. Currently I'm experimenting with HLG3 in BT.2020. I'm actually working on a breakdown of my Sony camera settings for the December Patreon video that should come out around the end of the year, so hopefully all your questions can be answered a bit more in depth in that video :D

Hi Teo, I'm wondering what your video log setting is for a7m3? Are you using HLG or SLOG2 and what is the specific setting for it? Thank you!

Hi Antonella! Whether you edit off of an external hard drive or an internal SSD does not really matter for the quality of the colour grading, you can choose which ever you want☺️
However there is a difference: You might notice a change in playback performance. External HDDs are much slower than internal SSDs, so when colour grading it can happen that the playback is a little choppy. But that of course does not effect the final exported result. But if you want to edit in high quality and smooth playback you might have to edit off an SSD (internal or external) because those are much faster at sending information to your computer👌

Hi, I’m trying to learn more about color grading so this videos it’s really helpful, one quick question tho:
Do you edit your videos directly from the hard drive or do you transfer them into your computer first and then edit them?
Which option would you say it’s the most “safe”?
Thank you again <3
