Historical Canon Illustrations

I took a little break after finishing Book 8 because I really needed one. As of today, I have started Book 9 and should be able to keep to my normal schedule (such as it is). In any case, here are a few more historical illustrations, mostly from Book 7 since I've been working on another edit of the manuscript to keep my brain plugged into the story. Again, if you don't like the illustrations, don't open the post. There are some NSFW illustrations in this post. There are also some examples of how bizarre the AI can sometimes interpret what I'm asking it to do. Hopefully after seeing them, those of you with extreme detail-oriented criticisms can get an idea what I'm working with.

I am unsure if anyone before me noticed, but there are some disturbing knuckles in the picture where Jake is meeting his fan -- the one showing off his Kiwi tattoo. The handshake details are themselves odd, but there seem to be some extra knuckles at the bottom of their hands.

#4 (Laura having her picture taken for evidence) looks like an illustration to a Letters to Penthouse magazine.

The Jake is the closest to what myself and Mrs. Steiner were envisioning, as is Matt and Laura. Celia is kind of a moving target. Her ethnicity makes it hard for the AI to be consistent with her skin color and hair, though the face remains pretty much the same.

Al Steiner

I gotta ask. Did you imagine Jake the way the AI is portraying him? Jake is a little off from my imagination. Matt is still far off, but getting closer. ;-)

The El Camino took me back. I personally liked the late 60's / early 70's SS versions. As they got into late 70's they started looking more boxy like the Johannson vehicle.

AI art is a very powerful tool it could be a great way to re launch to The entire story as a new series

Peter Kelly

really looking forward to book 9 (maybe beyond?)

Russ Wideman

Interesting on your input parameters. Thank you for the explanation.

I'm not entirely sure I followed you here, but I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures this time around.

You would not believe how hard it was to just get a shot of Jake displaying his right arm so I could put the tattoo on it. Every time I told it to show his right arm, it showed the left. If I switched and told it to show the left arm, it showed the left arm. Finally, I noticed in an earlier shot that if I have Jake shaking hands or preparing to, it would show the right arm. That's why there's a groupie in the shot greeting him.

Here is the prompt I used to create the monstrosity of Jake and Celia both with Jake's face and one Jake with Celia's legs and top. "photorealism and erotic. 44 year old male with light brown hair and brown eyes, clean shaven, pale skin, thin build, handsome. He is reclining in a lounger on an an ocean beach, his right arm holding a bottle of beer. He has a complete right arm and normal hand. He is wearing sunglasses, a whilte short-sleeved t-shirt with the image of a classic motorcycle on it, and khaki shorts. Reclining next to him in another lounger is a 40 year old Amazonian female with black silky hair and tanned skin with impressive breasts. She is wearing denim shorts and a sleeveless pink pullover shirt and sunglasses." The program sometimes misunderstands what I'm trying to say, thus the result you see. And yes, on the previous John Carpenter style image, I did say that both subjects were wearing Nike shoes so it apparently thought that was the important part of the illustration. Again, I think my skill as a descriptive writer is what produces the successful pictures and some of the horror shows.

The story is the picture your brain sees. These ai pics are gratification. Ai photos, for al! I hope all love fiction presented that you can't see in the stoty. The pics are fine, just trying to wrap my head around what I, my own reader see 🤷🏻‍♂️😱👍. Good enough tho

What level of detail do you have to provide for the AI generator to build the image? After your comment about the last three pictures, I looked closer at the others and noticed Jake is wearing Nike shoes. Do you have to specify Nike shoe as an input? Interesting subject. Thanks for sharing your vision of the various characters. The Matt and Caydee photo made me chuckle. I think you nailed Matt’s expression perfectly.

SteveZ

Those last 3 are hilarious.

Paul Barnett

The last few was like something from a horror movie. Thanks for showing them since it better shows just how much work you have done on getting them right even if some have six fingers or their right and left feet are mixed up.
