INTEMPERANCE SERIES LYRICAL HAPPENINGS
Added 2022-06-27 02:33:06 +0000 UTCNo charge for this post as it is not a story chapter. I hope to have chapter 15 out tomorrow sometime, as I'm about 3/4 done with it. After wrapping up writing for today, however, I found myself reflecting on the series as a whole and how I composed many of the scenes from the very beginning to reflect something told in real world classic rock lyrics from songs I enjoy. I decided that some of my Patrons might enjoy seeing some of these links. There's only a few in the document for right now, but there are dozens (if not hundreds) more. Hopefully I won't get in trouble with any of these artists for sharing this. I will update this document periodically if it is enjoyed, so let me know if you find it interesting or amusing.

Sorry to disappoint, but I despise RunDMC and think the WTW version they did with Aerosmith is atrocious. And I've never heard of the Led Zeppelin red snapper incident. There are some songs that inspired some of Jake's tunes, however. Most poignant, is In the End by Linkin Park, which is the inspiration for I Signed That Line by Jake and G.

I'd love to know more about the real-world inspirations and closest analogues for some of the things in this story... a few that come to mind are the Aerosmith / RunDMC collab of "Walk this way," and the legend about Led Zeppelin and the red snapper/mudshark incident.
