INTEMPERANCE V - Chapter 22, The New Life
Added 2021-10-18 04:28:04 +0000 UTCA week in the life of the new reality for Jake and Laura. That, and the rumors fly about why Jake and the the other former members of Intemperance are all utilizing a recording studio in southern Oregon. This one poured out of me easily, in only two days, and I drew further upon my memories of being a new father. As always, let me know how I'm doing. I will respectfully ask that if you are simply pointing out a typo and not offering insight into the story, that you do it in the message box instead of the group forum. I appreciate the error catching, but it is much easier for me to go through them in the final edit if they are in the message box. I hope you enjoy this one.

My wife & I both got a chuckle out of the memories that brought back. Thank you!

2021-10-20 11:28:14 +0000 UTCMrs. Steiner was 21 and I was 25 when we had our first. We had no freaking idea what we were doing. But we learned quickly. A trial by fire.

2021-10-19 23:33:48 +0000 UTCAhhh, the well-remembered joys (?!?) Of first time fatherhood! I was lucky enough to have some background - I'm the oldest of 6 & was already a nurse. But damn if I wasn't the caricature of a first time dad for the first few days! I liked that Elsa was kind enough to clue them in that everyone knew about them & to remind them to chose a nanny carefully. Someone has to say these things ...and Elsa is pretty good at it.

2021-10-19 23:30:56 +0000 UTCThat's okay. I'm not really keeping score, and most of the time when someone points out a typo, they are right. I do, however, reserve the right to be just a little snarky when they're wrong. Hopefully I'm not offending anyone.
