Tot to Dot

I've decided to go back to the drawing board and take another look at this character. The 1920s/30s black and white style is still very appealing to me. Dotti is a mixture of Betty Boop, Olive Oyl and Minnie Mouse. She's much more innocent than Totty - naive, hapless and generally just a bit more... well... dotty.
Here's my first test panel. Before I go any further, I need to make some alterations to my dress - it looks far too long here. Betty Boop always revealed her stocking tops and I think Dotti should follow that trend :)
This is just the first of several characters I'll be experimenting with over the next few weeks and I'll need your feedback to help steer me in the right direction. I'll be back with more Dotti updates next week... ⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️
