Extra Bits - Background Design
Added 2024-05-17 16:00:11 +0000 UTCI'm not sure how interesting this is, but I thought I'd show you a random selection of backgrounds that I've been working on for the last week or so. I usually shoot the photos first and then draw the backgrounds to match the poses, so it's a bit strange to see a Totty comic without Totty!
I use a limited palette of just 18 colours to keep all my comics looking consistent. The colours are quite desaturated to make the comics feel a little old and faded. I always endeavour to match my outfits and makeup to this palette too - I even refer to this colour swatch on my phone when I'm out clothes shopping :)
