Hands of God (creature) - Oom: Worldbuilding (ramble alert)

I've got an rp world (called Oom) which I'm kinda working on for fun and general creative outlet when I'm feeling world-buildy. I'll probably post stuff about it more once I get closer to finishing it and having more material to show.

My favorite part is probably working on the pantheon and various cultures of the races and how the races themselves work mechanically in the game or how they function as a distinct species beyond just being pointy eared humans and so on. 

This doodle is part of the pantheon stuff. It's a "Hand of God" or "Whisperer" (placeholder title) of a specific god in my pantheon. They're humanoid creatures that are partially covered in hands which seem to both grow out of their body and just wrap around their body and they emit a constant low sound which is similar to muffled whispers, even if their lips aren't moving. They can of course make other sounds, but they generally don't. The more they're covered in hands, the more powerful they are or the closer they are to their Goddess. What they exactly are or how they were made depends on whatever Hand you encounter, but they're essentially loyal servants of a Goddess in my world of Oom - the Goddess of Secrets. I've yet to give her a proper title, but tbh considering she's a goddess of secrets and hidden knowledge it makes sense that noone would know her true name. Her prayers are mostly whispers and essentially a series of controlled breaths and shushing. 

She has honestly kind of become a lesser Angrboda or Echidna of mine - a monster who births more monsters. She eats or "contains" most of her children in her endless closed hands, but my favorite divine monsters or monster-like entities are her kids that aren't trapped by their mother and they'll all need some kind of showcase post cuz I just love em so much. They're not super unique or weird, but ya kno, something you just got a massive boner for something just cuz you like it.

Ah just wanted to ramble bout creatures a little.

I'll  do proper lore dump posts with full illustrations n junk at some point. I need to get some base mechanics done first so the rp campaign can keep going and drawing stuff for Oom is too distracting if I allow meself to do it too much xD have spent days planning out n drawing Celestial maps (which I lost /sob)
