New YouTube video!

Happy hump day friends!! It's about time for a new YouTube video - here's what happened when I went to a studio with a photographer, a hair stylist, a cameraman and my manager - and brought the confessional grill with me! It's little behind the scenes look at how the Confessional image came to be 🌚

I've had so much love for the photo, thank you soooo much!!!

Just a reminder -  you're part of my Patreon community who gets access to my videos before they're released more widely. So let's keep this one between us - but feel free to share it once it's live on YouTube tonight!

Have watched (and listened) to The Confessional a few times now. Just want to congratulate you and your crew for the design of the set. It reminds me so much of the confessional booths I used decades ago in my youth. The lighting and screen were spot on. The only difference seems to be that we had to kneel in the confessional booth while doing the deed. I don't think I ever made a good confession and maybe that's the reason I never felt the freedom one should feel after getting it all off your chest. My experience in AA has been very different with my 4th and 5th steps which are the examination of conscience and the admission to oneself, to God, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs (sins). The confessional experience seems to have worked in AA since I've now been sober 35 years, 4 months, and 14 days (but who's counting). So thank you for this. It has such power to recall the purging experience.

Fascinating insight, J... you can really see your initial vision and everyone doing their bit and it all coming together. πŸ™Š I was wondering, when you're directed to exhibit this or that emotion or motif, etc in a photoshoot such as this, do you find that sort of enormously draining? πŸ˜‚ cos I sure would

Janet, got home at 6pm central standard time. 1st thing i did was hop on youtude to listen to your new song. One of my 2 best friends died last friday and I'm going to his funeral this sat. It was so amazing to here a new song from you. Made my day and week. Listening to your beautiful vocal and listening to you positive outlook even in dark times inspires me. You talk on mental illness a lot of months back really hit me cause I'm bipolar 1, which as you may know is the worse of the 2. I was diagnosed 10 years ago, but have had it most my life. 1st it was thought to be hyperactivity, than manic depression but now the where able to get to the eoot cause and im living with it under the correct meds. Its much more manageable but still there. So when you spoke out about your issues and ha e kept doing it i was a fan for life.....still would have been a fan of your music either way........ a fan of you and your accomplishments. Im 41 years old and my friend that died was 3 years older. This world we live in is so connected and im glad you make the world smaller and more connected. Huge fan, thanks for the beautiful music and thanks for being there. I enjoy listing to you talk about your life and your world. Ive always wanted to visit Ireland, maybe someday. But keep making the world a beautiful and excepting world. Your fan, Robert Williams

Great video. Always fun seeing serious/sad Janet bust out with her infectious Devlin smile. Too cute. I hope everyone understands the amount of work that goes into pictures, videos, and movies. Minutes can easily equal hours/days.

So sad I don't live in England. As a professional photographer for over 20 years I would have really enjoyed photographing a variety of looks for you. The last person I professionally photographed was the President! Then I retired at the top of my game. Hump day is Wednesday! My specialty is B&W film which isn't used much anymore, but I have a darkroom and equipment and experience. Some day?????????????

Hahaha I see Hump Day doesn’t translate πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ just means the middle of the week πŸ‘€ x x
