WIPwed: Just a Blanket roughs
Added 2023-12-13 20:43:42 +0000 UTCAs promised, here are some of the concept drawings of my new picture book "Just a Blanket" who's cynical origins I will here divulge to my patrons.
Every single craft show or flea market I do I have at least one person walk up to my table, see my books and say "are these those that you write the kid's name in?" and I always say "No, these are books I've written, I'm an author." and they say "Oh" and leave.
Well, this will be a personalized book they can write the kid's name in. The bulk of the book will be about these two pets investigating a blanket, and at the end the blanket will be pulled back and reveal a photo of the kid pasted in by the parents. I'm thinking of maybe doing a variation of a generic child drawing with different hair/skin colors to offer as an option. Yet to be seen. I may use this as a "book in a week" project next month. We will see how my client work goes.
