What the heck is Caelyn doing?

I'll tell you, friends! Thank you so much for your support and encouragement as I work on some of the biggest projects of my whole life. You've all been so patient with few updates, but making art during difficult times can be slow.

But it's not like I have nothing to show you. :)

Glimpses From Elsewhere

My microfic collection is fully gathered, fully formatted, and it's undergone an editing pass. Once I've added the bonus book-only stories, it's just a matter of giving it another close read and having a beta reader or five look at it. $5 patrons and higher have a link to the gdoc I'm working with, and can peruse the amazing art I commissioned from some very good artists!

Caves of Qud: Tomb of the Eaters

Kith and Kin, my hindren mystery quest, is done and in the game!! Now the team and I are gearing up to design one of Qud's final dungeons, the final resting place of the Sultans. It's my job to populate the Tomb with a cast of NPCs you can talk to, interact with, and perhaps get killed by. Look forward to it!

Bloom

"But Caelyn," you say, "you promised us Bloom! Where's Bloom?"

Actually you don't say that, because you are all so wonderful and supportive. I'm sorry I doubted you. Forgive me.

Anyway Bloom is coming, but part of the process of beginning Season 2 is getting a template set up in chapbook, the newest format in Twine 2. To do that, I have to learn how to use chapbook in the first place. But don't worry, I've been working my way through it.

...and Unity?

It'll be a while before this pays off, but the lead programmer and co-creator of Caves of Qud is giving me one-on-one tutelage to help me learn Unity, the most popular and versatile game engine out there.

So that's gonna be cool.
