But thatās what I want to do every time I think about this episode! Frustrating itās taken me this many days to be able to sit down and write this. In the meantime it has made me smile every single time I have thought of it! And opening with Tora whistling and the whole mood just being super light and easy already was so welcome I canāt even begin to tell you! My husband remarks that when Iām in a mood - sometimes not even a visible one, just a bad day - that it affects everyone, i.e. he and our two girls. He says it lightly, but it holds a weight that weāre all connected so strongly that they pick up on my mood so easily. But itās the same with this comic. I feel so enraptured and connected to the storytelling, that the mood Tora has been in for the last few episodes has really affected me too. So we be whistling now? HELL YES! I am all here wanting to know WHY weāre doing a tune and I was so happy to read we didnāt have to wait too long to find that out. āYouāre in a good mood for someone whoās on his ladyloveās shitlist.ā Pft pft, just Quincey reminding us heās still in Poppyās bad books, but maybe not at the top of the list now. Also rumpled Quincey is amazing! So is Tora just casually walking around in his boxers. Iām gonna be sad to see him wearing trousers again. WE GOT A DIMPLE! NOT A DRILL, WE HAVE A DIMPLE!! Oh that smirk made me giggle. When was the last time we saw it? I donāt even remember! But that twinkle in his eye is making me so happy! Be prepared for some gushing here apparently. Iām just so excited! I am howling at ādreamā Poppy talking to him. Sheās so cute! I know it was her way of protecting herself the best she could, because that conversation was not easy and with how sheās been gaslit by jerki, it makes sense for her to be wary of opening up. So I applaud her for finding a way to communicate with him. ā...because sheās still not talking to you, but she doesnāt want you to feel bad, either.ā Snap, if this isnāt me bridging the gap because I hate when people feel bad because I want space after something has upset me. Fucking fixer personality. Iām still working on it! āBut donāt take too long, please. Itās super creepy out there.ā Bahaha, love that little addition! Oh yeah, Tora is wide awake now! And poor Quincey is getting so done with their UST! I donāt think thatāll help though Quincess. Itāll just add fuel to the fire with these two. Once will not be enoughā¦ Thereās me howling yet again at Tora!! I appreciate and lap up ANY AND ALL moments where he gets scared or someone gets the drop on him. I like that heās not in full blown hyper vigilant mode ALL the time and Poppy standing there lit up like the beacon she is for him, scaring his pants off - I wish - was hilarious! As someone who loves to cuss as much as Tora, I clapped at his profanity choice there. So Toraā¦are you really able to see things from the other side - or wherever they come from - thanks to your heritage with Ulaan, or are you just pulling Poppyās chain? High key wants Tora to actually be tuned in to the supernatural because it would make me very happy. Just saying. HA! Fuckinā Quincey trying to eavesdrop already, LOL. Whatās the bet heās already started that book of themā¦? WE HAVE HAND HOLDING!! Fuck, here comes the serious heart thumping. I CANāT!! I feel like Iāve been starved of air or something. Suddenly Iām taking it all in, in big gasps and just staring at the panel of their hands burning a hole into my screen. I love them so much! Look at him on her level staring at the light. āDonāt go outā¦we need you!ā Well shit, Iām no Patty with how amazing she is at looking into the symbolisms of this amazing story. But that one definitely didnāt go over my head either! Theyāre going to need all the light they can get to guide them through this dark patch, and like Joe said, āRemember kid. No matter how dark it gets inside, always remember to leave a light onā¦for yourself and for someone else to find ya in thereā¦ā Excuse me, just gonna go cry for a secā¦ OK, Iām back. So yeahā¦I saw that panel and I had the breath I just got back, ripped right out of me again. It was beautiful! Visually and emotionally. The landscaping at this place is gorgeous!!! I am a stars girl. Dāuh with the name, but I canāt express how happy seeing the stars makes me. And seeing all this amazing detailing of his home and the night sky above them, I canāt help but take a deep breath and just soak it in. I freaking love the artwork of this story, Lily. <3 Ohh, the conversation they had, Poppy telling him that her trust with him broke into many little piecesā¦I felt that sucker punch as much as Tora clearly did, with how tense it seems he got. Though it has come as no surprise to hear her say it, and go big or go home. Sheās got things she has got to get out, he was never going to like hearing what she had to say. But her reaching out to take his hand, asking if she can continueā¦it was only because she took his hand that I didnāt recoil at her asking if she could continue. How often has she been shut down in the past and too afraid to say how she felt? She knew what she said hurt him, and sheās still trying to find a connection and comfort for him, despite what sheās saying. Poppy has big feelings for this thug, she didnāt have to take his hand, but itās obviously been upsetting her too to be silent with him. And maybe she needed that contact as much as Tora. So huge sighs of relief all around when he tucked his thumb over her fingers. And looked her in the eye encouraging her. YES TORA!!! My God, all the open communication between them in this chapter has been incredible!! We knew theyād talk eventually and I am a firm believer they are going to be so much stronger for this. But knowing it was coming and reading itā¦.itās even better!! Fuck, reading Poppy say she was afraid sheād lash out and say something sheād regret again, and theyd argue again - ouch!! Thatās me. I know when itās coming and I walk away before it gets to that point. And it takes a lot of will and awareness to walk before you make that regret. So Iām applauding her for being aware of this and acting accordingly. And being so honest and vulnerable with Tora about it. Itās not easy to face the parts of ourselves like that, but she's owning it. āHey - ya need more space. Sāokay. I get it.ā *Claps wildly and loudly* Perceptive Tora strikes again! The weight that must get lifted when he tells her what she needs and deserves to hear, I canāt even imagine. Bahaha, Poppy calling him a chicken shit for giving her silent treatment for a week made me laugh! And his admission that sheās got more courage than him for talking to him sooner than he did. And let's face it, that was only because they had their joint birthday party. So I wonder how much longer he would have gone on with that at the time. But back to their conversation and I was so happy that he understood it and was honest with her too. The way he stood there with his hands behind his neckā¦damn his body language was screaming frustration at me! But Iām loving all of this honest talk. My chest doesnāt feel so tight anymore. āSmack!ā ā - pat on ya back for speakinā ya mind and being a brave little trooper.ā Tora if you hadnāt just nearly sent her face planting the grass with that āpatā I hope she would have given you a little love tap to the nose again. Pft pft. Her face saving attempts never fail to make me smile! OR the blush to Tora as he leans in, making her all distracted and forget what the question was. I mean Poppy blushes, that's her thing and I love her for it. But when I see Tora with that glow, itās a whole other level of OH MY GAW!! My quick thanks to Erdene too, because Iām too distracted by that blanket hitting the ground and Tora calling her āPopsā. And you know, the fact theyāre making out again, I mean could he wrap himself around her any tighter? Itās delicious!!! Until Tora fucking cockblocks himself!! Tiger what are you doing?? Sheās aroused, youāve got your answer, donāt bloody ruin it! Even if I am HOWLING AGAIN at the sheer glow coming off Poppy that Tora bear hugs to him. I know I say it a lot, but the award for best balance between all things and comedy goes to you, Lilydusk! I am shaking with laughter at his response, fucking all of it! Adding this to my list of things to come back and reread when I need a laugh! Hold on, I know Tora cracked a joke about it being impossible she wasnāt attracted to him, but Iāve just realised how much he genuinely worried if she WAS attracted to him. Further proof this man is so far gone down the love trail. And I guess heās so used to women throwing themselves at him that Poppy being reserved has been a shock. But it definitely feels like it hit harder than that. Picking my slightly slacked jaw back up now. āBecause I miss ya.ā he says with a blush. Oh Tora, tiger, buddy. Lot to be said between the lines there. Youāre all but telling her youāve caught major feels here and youāre scared of getting hurt. Which is legit. But ease up on me OK? Iāve just come back from some intense silent treatment and your make up/cockblocking moment. I donāt know if my heart can take your squishy vulnerabilities too. I mean shit, look at Poppyās expression and her heart hammering! āYa smile, ya voice, ya hair, everythinā.ā Annnnnd Iām gone. Iām toast. And Poppy is too, after that admission sheās not freaking out and pushing him away. THIS HAS BEEN A LOT! Zero complaints because Iāve loved every visually stunning part of this episode and you can tell you enjoyed working on it too, Lily! I feel so much lighter; so Iām going to take this happiness and keep it for as long as I can before some arsehole tries to take it from me. I LOVE IT! Thank you forever, Lily!
