The key selection in Logic Transport bars really has no relevance unless you're using Apple Loops or the score editor. It would be cool if it lock the midi grid to only show selected note (but it doesn't). When you create a project, the key signature defaults to C major unless you choose a different key signature. The initial key signature affects the playback of Apple Loops in the project (so whatever Apple Loop you drag into your session, it will transpose to the key you set). Also, MIDI, pattern, and Session Player regions in the project can transpose to match the key signature you set. Hopefully that clears some things up.

2024-07-28 16:29:40 +0000 UTCI need to understand the Key selection at the top of logic. I notice that not many people change it from default C but people always say the song needs to be in key with the sample. Can you talk about this in a video?
