January 2021 Channel Update – Status Quo

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re having a good start to the new year!

Since the last update, I wrapped up VTMB and the channel’s been coasting along with Hades and Cyberpunk.

Some of you may have heard that my dad is currently in the hospital (I had made a video update on Twitter.) He was in the ICU for a brain infection since last Christmas, but has apparently been transferred to a normal ward now (“apparently” because my access to info about him is sort of limited due to us not being in the same country & complicated family situations…) Things are looking improved now but the road to a discharge/further recovery looks like it may be in the range of months.

TBH, that whole situation’s been a hit to my productivity. But as I mentioned in the video, I don’t think lying around doing nothing is the greatest way to deal with it either, so I’m still trying to work on the channel but at slower pace (= 1 Hades or Cyberpunk video a day).

TL;DR

• Finished: VTM: Bloodlines
• Ongoing: Hades, Cyberpunk 2077
• Upcoming: status quo for a bit more!

Games Finished Since Last Update

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines (51 parts): This game definitely has some 2004-isms that didn't age well, but it's really one of those games that make you think "they don't make them like these anymore!!" Fascinating story that's been interesting all throughout. Thanks again for voting for me to experience this in the last poll!

Progress on Current Stuff

Hades: I’m about 60 runs in now and I think in end-game territory now, story progression-wise. It’s been a lovely journey! I think I can see this series wrapping up in about 10-15 more runs?

Cyberpunk 2077: Having played spent ~20 hours now, it’s very much sci-fi Witcher with the books and lore everywhere (= great!) Bugs do crop up here and there but nothing that I’d say is greatly affecting the experience.

Upcoming Stuff

I think the next bit will still be Hades/Cyberpunk. When time allows, I’m thinking of going through a few really short games (<2-3 videos) to get back in the productivity groove. Before ANY of that though, the Q&A……… I am sorry to say I'm stiiiiiiiilll editing it…….. I’m pledging here that I won’t start any new games until it’s out…!!
