Status Update #2
Added 2022-09-15 21:06:29 +0000 UTCHi everyone! This is what I've been working on for the past 2 weeks:
- New features added to the old Engine Simulator codebase which will be available to Patrons only (these changes are in a non-public branch for now). These were needed for my next video where I demonstrate unequal length headers and cross-plane vs flat-plane V8s. Expect a release soon!
- Started the new Engine Simulator codebase. It's not publicly available but I'll be showing progress in either biweekly or monthly devlogs
- A major automotive magazine has reached out to me and we're working together on a feature. I don't want to reveal too much about this since it's not public yet but it should bring more exposure to the project

I'm glad engine simulator is getting more exposure, it really does deserve it. Also the magazine article was awesome.

I wish you good luck and am excited to see what it will entail! On a side note, I saw you had a custom VSCode piranha script (.mr files) language extension, for text coloring (and perhaps linting?). Would it be possible for you to make that extension public? Thanks!

It basically has pistons of different diameters and routes exhaust gases from fired smaller pistons into larger non-fired cylinders for re-expansion to pull more useful energy from the exhaust.
