So I want to make a poll, just of general ideas on what you'd like to see that might make you want to purchase a tier or support on Patreon, or if you were a previous Patron what you'd like to see that would make you sub back?
And if you are an active member, what is something you want to see more of, say an old favorite thing of mine.
What do I do that you enjoy the most?

I think you do amazing work but I always feel like the poll is just a popularity contest. Some characters have been drawn many different times and others haven't been drawn once. I feel it would be interesting to have one large image with multiple suggested characters. Like after the poll is finished and winners are determined, a few of the non-winning suggested characters get picked at random to appear in one large image. Leave it completely to chance (whether it be equally random or a weighted point system) on what characters get selected for the image. Additionally, if a person's recommended character gets selected, the person (or people) who suggested them might get a say on what they would like to see happen to them in the image. I think a lot of people would like to see their character in the situation they prefer. I feel the lucky winners would enjoy that better than seeing their recommended character in a scenario they may not like as much. I also think this would be a good way where more unique characters who would never win would be drawn. 1 image with about 3-5 random characters would be probably be good enough to get a variety of new characters selected, and the amount of characters could change each moth depending on your workload and availability. The amount of characters selected for the month could also change how unique each character's situation is. Lets say you choose 5 character, it could perhaps it be one scene like a bathroom brawl or a bunch of characters getting wedgies at a school. 4 characters could be a 4 way free-for-all with one person left standing while the others are each defeated in their own way. 3 could be a larger scene where the 3 character each have their own unfortunate incident. The selection process could be a true random process where each characters has an equal chance to get selected, or you could do a weighted point system. Such as each character gets points based on the recommenders teir or additional points for each month that recommender has not been a winner. This way patreon who support you more have a higher chance of being a winner and also everyone has a higher chance each consecutive month they have supported you when they have not won. This would make it more likely that you won't have someone keep losing where others may have won multiple times. Whatever you choose to do, I will support your choices. I personally am more interested in seeing new characters in your art, and I feel 1 image with multiple characters may be a decent way to implement this, without adding too much additional work to your workload.

2024-03-15 17:30:15 +0000 UTCI think the $5 tier is perfectly fine as is, so I'm going to focus entirely on the $10 tier, as that's what I'm on. Currently, the main benefit of being a $10 patron over a $5 one is being able to make suggestions and vote in the monthly poll. I already gave a few thoughts on that below a previous comment, but TL;DR: It's a weak sell when it feels like all the same characters end up winning anyways. Honestly though, I think the private sketch streams used to round out the tier nicely and make it perfectly viable, but I don't think those have been happening lately (if they have been, then there's a much bigger communication problem going on). If you wanted to immediately add value to the $10 tier by doing the least amount of work, you could just give them first dibs on comm slots. Instead of announcing them on the Discord first, make a Patreon post just for them. I don't think that's ideal, as I'm sure you want to pick up some newer clients with those openings, but it wouldn't increase your workload like doing more streams would. You could also keep a few slots open solely for new commissioners, people who've never comm'd you in the past. Speaking on something I'd like to see more of personally, I really do miss those sketch streams. Totally get why the sketch request tier had to be obliterated, that was absolutely too much work, but the streams always struck me as the more manageable of the two. Just one day out of the month where you randomly take sketch ideas from the viewers, maybe with the occasional silly selection method, like that drawing minigame. If that was still too much, maybe you could split the difference between the stream and sketch tier, and just have Patrons list sketch ideas on a monthly post that you randomly pick like 3 to draw. That seems like it'd start to overlap with the poll though, so maybe not the best idea. That's about where my thoughts lie. Sorry for the length, I'm too lazy to compress these thoughts.

It would most likely end up with people not reading the instructions and missing out on their vote (I already get the occasional message because someone doesn't know where to go to vote when they get notified for the monthly poll). I'll gladly curate the list my self but then it could be accused of bias if I dont favor OCs or characters who's designs im not too fond off.

2024-03-15 17:17:24 +0000 UTCBIG support over here. It's not unique to your Patreon, I see it all over the place, but the audience will vote up their favorites on the poll every time if you let them. Some polls that only allow for characters you haven't drawn, a clear restricted list for general polls that loop in big names and/or whoever won the last 2-3, all of that would be greatly appreciated. Also, while I understand there isn't much we can do about it, the randomized selection for which poll suggestions actually make the list sucks a lot. Speaking from experience, there is no greater annoyance than coming up with what you think is a cool suggestion, maybe something seasonal that'd be perfect for the month, only for it to not even be put to a vote. Honestly, I think it'd be less painful if you personally curated the list rather than just randomizing it, taking off what you want and leaving on what you do. The fact that it's entirely luck-based is the biggest L. Barring that, you could always just toss the poll on a Google Form, and just use every suggestion. If you're worried about peeps double dipping, just make them list their Patreon username alongside their choices.

Like some of the girls who are requested every month but don't get a lot of votes to get a piece at some point, like Hibari from Senran Kagura or Taiga from Toradora. Not all at once, but the occasional surprise would be nice. Especially since commissions are usually taken before any of us can make requests for said girls.

It would be nice to take step into a bit more of uncharted territory with characters you don’t work with as much. Plus I’d love to see more of your Oc.

I get shows like RWBY, DBZ, Fairy Tail and such are fan favourites but every month it seems like characters from the same handful of media are picked.

It would be an awesome variety. Like for example: Sauske giving Sakura a wedgie, Robin on Starfire, Bakugou on Ochaho or however you spell her name. Basically a male character to wedgie the female character you draw. I need to see it! I ended my membership beforehand because I do love your art, but I wanted to see some guy on girl.
