August Update!

Hey all!

It’s been over three months since the last post, so I apologise for the long wait without any updates. On top of recovery, we’ve had a lot to take on in our absence. Shortly after our announcement, we were told by our landlord that we have to move out of our house in a few months, which has been extremely stressful and required a lot of hard work. But that being said, we do want to get back to making some content when we have the time during this transitional period.

Although my tailbone’s slowly on the mend and feeling more relief, recovery has taken far longer than expected. Initially, I thought it may be more serious, but a friend of my parents shared how she broke her tailbone too and that it took her 6 months to fully heal, so I'm relieved it's not unique for this sort of recovery to take longer. Thankfully, I can sit for longer than I used to and I also got a special support cushion which does take away the edge. Which means I can edit again! My brother is also still struggling with his arthritis, but is just as excited to get back on board as I am!

So in light of this, we've decided to get back to creating again as we miss it a lot. We have the King & Rosen entry nearly complete and will be finishing that off and sending it to NDMytp in due course. We’re one of the last entrants left to finish our entries, so when that is done it probably won’t be long before you all get to see it. Following on from that, we’ve also returned to make an entry for TheRealXboxNerd’s final Scooby Doo collab, which we initially dropped out of due to IRL circumstances.

Over the last few months, I’ve had a lot of time to think about our bigger ideas and developing plots. And as hard as this is to admit, inspiration for the projects we talked about in our “Plans for 2023 & Beyond” post from February have taken a backseat to other things. Not that we won’t ever make them, but they’ve just been nudged down the queue a little bit. But don’t fret! What we plan to come first is the return of our earliest YTP we’ve talked about but never got around to making. The prequel to The Trainkillers; “YTP: The Battle Of Sodor” has come running back into the spotlight once again! We plan to slowly start work on it after the collab entries are done and the rehousing situation is sorted. We’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop when we slowly build the groundwork for it.

As we’re both still on the mend, we’ll do our best to take frequent breaks and not overwork ourselves. Health comes first, as a lot of you kindly advised.
