Future of the Patreon (3/24/2022)

It's been an interesting experience/experiment/time trying to see if I could not only produce content people would want to pay for, but also offer them a service they would like to pay for. Honestly, I'm happy that that it has grown a good deal, but also more than a little burned out by the work that I've had accrue over the time I've been running this page.

And, honestly, that's not a good scenario for either party. So I'm going to change some things here. 

Once the new pay-cycle hits, I'll be freezing payments, and removing the sketch tiers. 

I will switch things to a flat $5 a month tip-jar, where you can get access to early, high-rez art posts, w/ alternative versions, as well as future projects like comics and polls.

I know it's not ideal, but it should at least help out so I can clear out my back-log of monthly sketches. Later I may re-introduce these Patron-request pieces and let people get back in on having their OC's/ideas produced by me. However, it stands, I'm too far behind and I think it's good to just sit back and re-evaluate how to I want this to be run, and/or manage the work-load I put on myself. 

The positive of this is that, once my Patreon back-log is finished, I can move on back to having just regular commissions as well as the popular SketchNIGHTs sketch streams.

NOW -- For anyone that I owe art to, don't worry. I will still be working on your drawings. And, as always, any monthly credits payed for can be combined into a higher tier.

Example: 

Two $5 Tier months combine into a $10 tier. 

Two $10 Tier months combine into a two-character piece.

I am sorry for anyone who just joined into to participate in this, and I really do want to keep making art for people, but unfortunately my schedule as well as just trying to work this in as a 2nd job (at this point), is a bit much at the moment. I'd rather simplify this and do my best to produce good artwork than be buried under a ton of work I miscalculated. It's also on me to try and do more finished work and give patrons more stuff than just sketches/drawings to look at on here, so there's THAT too.

I'll understand if people choose to drop their sub now. It's just a factor you have to face when you make a large change like this, even on a smaller Patreon.

I did this for fun and to buffer in a bit of cash flow, while exploring ideas for ways to support myself on my artwork, alone. It's been interesting, and I'm happy when new people hop in! That being said, it's also been a bit tiresome to deal with, and I sort of dread when a new month rolls around and I see I  have more work to do. It's just my fault for thinking it'd be easy, and I'll just have to learn from that.
