2025-04-25 02:02:57 +0000 UTCi think the reason why so many young people are drawn to self diagnosis is because in their real lives they are othered in some way and then see a community of people who all know and see each other as different to the norm but normal to each other and latch onto that sense of community. but it sucks because a lot of times that can make them forcibly other themselves more than they were before, like people saying “this is what all adhd people do”. then everyone who doesnt have adhd sees the disorder as something minor like that stupid “you people cant do anything” tweet lol
