It’s the empathy underlying the whole dry and sarcastic, but serious, but cynical and sarcastic, but no really for real, but deadpan and sarcastic because yeah mon this absurdity IS the reality tone you nail in your storytelling. You can hear her disbelief and sadness and disgust and galaxy loneliness and sense of humor and resignation and love and trauma and foolishness and sharp wit and…anyhoo. Good one. Thanks ACC.

My brother in law just had a clot as well after some recent surgery, and he is not the same but we're hopeful for more progress as time goes by. My heart goes out to her and her family. 2022-05-12 22:39:12 +0000 UTCIt seems like successful women are unfairly targeted by others (media, higher-ups, officials, other women etc.) already, and what happened to Sarma is truly terrifying. Not that men are completely immune from victimization or slander, it just hurts more to see women beaten down for trying to achieve their career goals. As if the struggle to be treated as EQUALS instead of objects isnt enough of a burden to carry. I strongly believe her intentions were good. She did have so much potential to make a difference/build a brand/create a new kind of service industry workplace. And the world continues to bully/belittle her, (I believe in part) because she is an attractive, well educated, woman, and those falls from grace are widely entertaining to the masses. If Ive learned anything from her story, its that you need to be careful who/what you trust. And ig that each of us is going through our own personal hell, whether we show that side to others or not. It is no excuse to mistreat hard working women
