Status Update - September 2022
Added 2022-10-02 10:47:54 +0000 UTCHello! As you might have noticed, billing has been paused for this month, since I've been mostly busy with work and I haven't had the chance to do much hobby stuff.
GInput
This month I dusted off the code for GInput, untouched since 2016. The development version received some improvements over the years but they never made it to a public version, so I decided it was time to tidy all that up and release an update to clear my backlog. While I have no ETA on the update, so far it contains changes like:
- Removal of DirectX End-User Runtimes dependency - a hard dependency on xinput1_3.dll was probably the most common support issue
- Fixes for the game stuttering during credits
- Improved logic for handling camera switches - fixing an issue where it is theoretically possible to lock up the mouse camera
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown Unlocker
Not an update per se, just a heads up - it's been confirmed to work with a Steam release of Judgment! Unfortunately, it does not work with Lost Judgment.
Other work:
PCSX2
- QtHost: Fix Unicode command line arguments - Quick fix related to my "favourite" subject - PCSX2-Qt can now handle Unicode characters/paths in the command line, e.g. when starting a game from there.
What's next?
October is the month of Hacktoberfest, so at the very least I plan to clear out my OpenRCT2 backlog. Other than that, I hope to finish the aforementioned GInput update soon. I've been increasingly busy with World Racing 2 Champion Edition which has recently picked up the development pace and we've started showcasing some new cars made for this release that can exist only at a "price" of modifying licensed cars into unlicensed ones. Look out for more info in the following months!
