Meryl Streep played a brilliant Karen Silkwood. Silkwood & Kramer vs Kramer are the highlights (so far!) of her career. ❤️

Tooney Kat

Roberto

Erin street

Great show from day one. This episode in particular is so well done. I'm finally able to join the valued listeners. Now to catch up on all the bonus eps, I've been missing out on.

Heidi Galore

I remember when this happened. I did not know about Senator Kerr. Nightmares are made of this. Wow.

Ursula Sindlinger

Love love loved it thank you for an enjoyable Sunday evening. You’re a gem.

I read your tweet so I’m posting this comment to say that your podcast is awesome, you’re great, this is the only Patreon I’ve ever supported, and you’ve improved my life. PLEASE enjoy your weekend. 🍻

Kyle Felter

BRAVO! I literally cheered at the end. One of my top 5 episodes!!!! Dude! This season is killing it!!! (Was that a pun?)

Janet Marie

Holy crap! Great episode.

Dana Stevens

Oops, I am deaf. It’s AEC. Anyway, did they find any cancer or precancerous cells at her autopsy?

C

Honestly one of the most riveting episodes I've listened to. Also I liked that you added sound effects when you talked about the car crash. Some podcasts use them way too much but adding it on the climax of the story was just right imo.

Sophia Stahl

This one stings a little bit. I'm glad they had to pay and were eventually exposed, but they way they took her out sucks. Maybe it's the song....and her kids.

Garrison E Franklin

Bahaha!!

Gretchen Strausbaugh

Agreed. I didn't think mentioning it would add to the story in any way. Of course I knew there was a movie! I never miss anything that Cher works on (that's a lie).

Swindled

What I can remember of the movie, it was fine. (The Silkwood scrub is mostly what I remember.) Your choice to not mention the movie, I felt, meant that her story is impactful enough. You didn’t need Hollywood to validate the fact that the story was significant. Or.... you didn’t know there was a movie...😬

Gretchen Strausbaugh

Not a fan of the movie?

Swindled

“AAC” is too close to “ACC” 😱 cringey

C

What a great episode. This story is absolutely heart breaking. This company’s greed cost the lives of so many people and the American government let it happen for so many years. I can’t believe I never heard this story before. Karen’s story should be told and she should be remembered as an America hero.

Robin Ponders

I like that you didn’t mention the movie based on her experience. This is definitely one of your top 10 episodes. Great song by Jess.

Gretchen Strausbaugh

This story is so devastating. Karen’s kids will never see her again. However I’m relieved that she didn’t die in vain and people were finally made aware of how evil Kerr-McGee is. What scum to not even admit any wrong doing. All that said excellent episode.
