Tweak your webcam settings with ease

I just finished a few new pages to make adjusting your webcam image much faster and simpler.  Instead of clunky text boxes, you'll soon be able to use sliders.  The controls will update a live preview as you adjust the settings.  No need to use two browser windows or continuously click 'apply'.

You can get to the enhanced webcam settings the old way, by going through the camera profile settings.  Or you can click a new 'gear' icon within the 'latest snapshot' preview in the Octolapse tab.  Clicking the gear opens a popup containing ONLY the image preferences, so you don't have to wade through a ton of clutter while trying to adjust focus before a new print.

I've also added a 'restore defaults' button so you can, at least in theory, load the default settings for your webcam.  However, some of the default settings I'm receiving from mjpegstreamer are obviously not the real default values.  In this case I've been forced to make a few assumptions about what the correct 'defaults' are.  I will post an issue on the mjpegstreamer github soon to see if I can understand what is going on.

This feature and more will be available in the next release.  I hope to have things ready this summer.

Note:  This currently only works with mjpegstreamer streams and a subset of cameras.  It is possible that Octolapse will support more servers in the future.

Did you stop developing this feature for some reason or is it still on your to-do list? It looks really good and a much better way for adjusting your cam(s) without headache. On another note: For some reason the value ranges in Octolapses settings do not correspond to the ones I get when directly visiting the actual control.htm page. When I enter values in Octolapse and press the apply button, all the values at the control.htm page just get completly randomized, and the same is reflected looking at my webcam stream. The strange thing is that even if I don't change any value in Octolapse and just repeatedly press the Apply Now button, values change around randomly and my stream jumps through all kinds of colours and shades. A thing maybe worth mentioning as-well is that Octolapse offers many more settings than show up at my control.htm. This all is on the newest OctoPi release & I edited the file to give Octolapse permission according to the documentation. Would you have any idea what might be going on? Or should I open an issue on Github with a proper bugreport? Thanks for the great plug-in anyway!

This is so exciting!

Thanks! It's already been very useful for me while testing. I can't wait to get some of these new features out there.
