While I’m fine with most of what you wrote, I really hope Neo doesn’t speak. She’s been mute her whole life; it’s been a source of adversity for her that she’s learned to work with and (ROMAN HOLIDAY SPOILERS) led to her first moment of real connection with Roman, since he accepted her as she was and quickly learned to pay attention and understand her, something nobody else, not even her own parents, could do. (SPOILERS END HERE) Her muteness is not something she needs to grow out of- being an empty person with no purpose of self beyond serving the unsavory whims of evildoers and devoting herself to pointless revenge against her targets of ire is. Not to mention the miraculous curing of a disability is something highly looked down upon in some modern media critique circles, and coupling it with her becoming an ally would be a REAL bad look. Lastly, it’s part of what makes Neo, Neo- the silent, sassy partner-in-crime to the best villain in the show and also Cinder. That ascension could make a character someone entirely different doesn’t mean it SHOULD. Sorry to go off like this- your comment didn’t upset me, I’m not mad at you for seeing things a different way than me, and again, most of what you said would be neat. It’s just that I think it would be a REALLY bad idea for them to “fix” Neo’s muteness and wanted to share my perspective.

2023-04-17 21:12:00 +0000 UTCThe battle between Neo (/w cat) and W.B.Y. will continue... Ruby will return as herself but stronger... she will fatally wound Neo making the cat leave her body... As Neo is about to die, they give her the leaf or tea or whatever... she will 'ascend' and volume ends with Team Rwby entering the door. Jaune will also 'ascend' and we wont see him in last episode. Volume 10 -> At some point, Jaune returns to his younger self thanks to the Tree, Neo will also return stronger BUT with the ability to speak and looking for revenge on Cinder therefore joining forces with Team RWBY and everyone else. None of this will probably happen, but it was fun to put it here =) Of course, if Neo returns with ability to speak and HELPING Team Rwby.... The moment she says her first word, we might lose Calxiyn
