Video Commissions Are Making A Return!

Good day everyone! I wanted to make a post to let you guys know that video commissions will be making a come back using Ko-fi. If you’ll remember, back in the day I used to offer something called “Video Tickets” where if you pledged at a certain tier, you could commission a specific amount of videos. For the first time since the video ticket system ended, Hunter and I will now be taking commissions.

You can check the link for more details, but examples of what you can commission include: reactions to anime/movies/cartoons of your choosing, livestreams playing a game of your choosing, videos where we go in depth about a topic you have decided (like where we explain your theory and give our thoughts), video essays (like the Little Mermaid essay) or rewrites.

My reason for using Ko-fi instead of Patreon is the following:

1. The video ticket system through Patreon tiers got extremely broken - back then, you could request 3 whole videos of any length for just $10. This lead to Hunter and I being super overwhelmed, and extremely underpaid in relation to the amount of work. We later tried to change it so each ticket was 10 minutes of runtime, but this didn’t help very much when we started actually editing or scripting our videos (because those thing take time not considered).

2. On that note, our videos have gotten a lot more complicated and varied. Each video is unique in terms of the workload, Patreon tiers are very limited whereas with Ko-fi we can customize the amount.

3. I want to streamline certain things so they are easier to understand. Instead of Patreon being for rewards and commissions, it’s just for rewards. Ko-fi is for commissions, Patreon is for rewards, YouTube Membership is for Emotes/Loyalty Badges/Livestream perks.
