Hello Everyone, Team Radious here!
With Total War: Warhammer III officially announced last week we thought that now would be a good time to have a look at the totality of our Warhammer II output, have a moment of reflection regarding the road that we have travelled, and discuss what the future has in store for us!
It is not an overstatement to say that our experiences creating the Warhammer II Overhaul resemble a wild rollercoaster ride. From humble beginnings back in 2017 we have grown and developed it into one of the largest mods currently on the workshop, boasting over 300 custom units and a completely redone campaign and battle experience! To put things into perspective, there have been over 115 main mod updates, some released to support newest CA content, others adding more of our own. Moreover, based on your feedback, we have also made available a wide plethora of submods to allow you to further customise the game to your liking, the biggest ones being Warlords, Slaves to Darkness and Wood Elves Overhaul!
We anticipate that Warhammer III will be even bigger and more complex than Warhammer II ever was. Integrating all three Warhammer games is a gargantuan task that CA set for itself, and we expect it to be two-three times more difficult for us. Just porting all our work, adapting it to the new changes, systems and creating a new balance will be unbelievably time-consuming for a small team such as ours; and this does not even include the creation of new content and units. The amount of stress that we will find ourselves under will be unbelievable.
Together with you, we have built an amazing community over these last couple of years. We are unbelievably proud that we have been able to improve the gaming experiences of so many people and make the world a bit brighter despite everything else that has been happening and all the adversities of real life. We want this to continue and we are ready to dedicate ourselves to it again.
By now, you are probably sick of us asking for your support. We get that. But we still must do it if we want to keep our sanity and at least some of our hair. Please, consider supporting us on Patreon. As we have said earlier, it will be an enormous task and we need any support we can get to pull through. If you can, feel free to also engage with us on our social media, as every little encouragement and friendly words helps to keep us going.
Stay strong in these difficult times
