One driver's Miami Grand Prix was over at the first corner, and it may turn out to be his last Formula 1 start.
Yes, Alpine is evaluating Jack Doohanโs position and considering whether a driver change is needed as soon as the next race at Imola - as discussed in our latest video, available ad-free to The Race Members' Club on Patreon.
The French courts had no idea what they were thinking when they overturned the ban.

My honest opinion is that in such a competitive rookie market, Doohan has not shown a lot of growth in his first races compared to every other rookie (except for perhaps Lawson). If this were 2017, he would be given 2 or 3 seasons before making a decision. But there is a lot of pressure and a replacement lined up. Sadly he needed to show a lot more a lot faster. It is not fair, but it is the current state of the competitiveness of the rookie market.

I understand the courts allowed Briatore into F1 again but I feel he never should have been allowed to be. When you ask a driver to risk his life along with the possibility of the lives of others in a planned crash the man has a screw loose and no morals or care for others. Heโs a danger to everyone there.
