Updated Pipboy is ready to download.

I have now finished the scaled pipboy so it's closer to game scale and it definitely looks better. The side console on the right side I have now hollowed so the switches and encoders can be placed in the housing and have enough space for some LED's and wiring. Below is a short list of the ones I've sized the consoles for;

5 x Mini rectangular rocker switch - roughly 15mm x 9 mm

1 x Micro Button Switch - Dims - 6mm x 6mm x 4.3

2 x Rotary Encoder EC11

With my build I was going to power it with some LED's so when I've printed it out fully I will see what else I can find on ebay in terms of microelectronics to make this build better. So in the next couple weeks/months I might make further improvements if I learn or some need equipment. The battery I've decided to use is a 3V Panasonic CR123A Battery as it will power a load of LEDs and is quite small for its capacity.

In the uploaded files, the only difference I have also made is that I have made two versions of the top side console, one with an open rad meter face for a rear lighting and one with a covered one. My plan was to try and back light it an LED and some thin sheet with the rad meter printed on it. I have included both files as its up to you with what you want to with your build.

I have not updated the BOM's or drawings yet as I just wanted to get the files out, but they will follow in the next couple days. Once I have figured out what I'm doing for the electronics in terms of wiring I will also make a simple wiring diagram so aid with that aspect as well.

Ok, I wont be able to do anymore tonighr but will do it on my work break tomorrow.

Yeah, in general it would be nice to just see some kind of assembly view of the project.. Exploded or not. To me it gives both a sense of complexity and just admireability of the design. :)

Jan Johansson

Yes, what would you like?, just some external shots?

Lilykill

Hm.. No ISO-images in this build either. Any chance you could add? :)

Jan Johansson

Sooooo, if you want help on the electronics side, and maybe even some programming... Lemmie know ;)
