I've heard somewhere that meaning can be more fulfilling than happiness.. that happiness is always fleeing, because the only certainty that exists in life is that it will change at some point. And we know that on some level, even in the moment of actual happiness. Maybe because of this, we shouldn't aim for it or chase it as a "thing," but when we "receive" it (as a sort of byproduct of a well-lived life), then fully celebrate it (enjoy it), but also not hold on to it too much. It's been true for me, at least.. that whenewer I was really happy, it wasn't because of anything I did, it was sort of like a "gift" when "stars aligned" and created an almost magical moment or perfect circumstances - in a way, a chance of luck. But it eventually came to a norm again or became a new norm. And I think it might be true for someone who seems to have it all as well (on social media, etc.).. there will always be someone to compare themselves to. And someone at the very top might be afraid to lose that position (which for someone can be even more of a pressure), or don't have health, etc. We never know what goes behind closed doors, but I'm sure it's not as perfect as it can seem. To have everything on a "silver platter" (wealth, success, or simply what you want) maybe isn't a win either, because it doesn't require growth, there's no immersion in it, nothing to really lose (or gain). It kind of reminds me of The Sims.. when I got the cheat code, I quit the game. I think I find the most fulfilling growth (real, not forced). Like when you look back at your life and see (and feel) how far you've come from where you started (hopefully in a good direction) - this fulfillment is much deeper than happiness, which can disappear. Like if you live every day the best you can (whatever that can mean for you - and it can change too), that's enough. In a video about traveling was this quote.. "Perhaps the most important journey we're all on is learning to be ok with what's happening" - I think I agree, it's also hardest thing to do there is (but it brings peace) ❤️

Something I read, to paraphrase, basically said that 'we're very good at preparing to live in the future eg. get a degree, work towards promotion, save for a house, but not very good at living in the now, even when we get where we wanted to, something else comes up'. The song is beautiful, and you're definitely finding your comfort zone.
