Personally, I like this version better, but that's not to say I don't like the final outcome. Congrats and I can't wait to hear more in the future. ❤️

The drum track feels different and I think there’s drum roll in the early version that I can’t hear in the final. I think I can hear the vocal on top of the music, possibly not as integrated? Of course I could be completely wrong. I don’t have the correct terms for what I’m trying to say. Anyway… love this song in it’s early and final versions.

Honestly, I’d love to hear an acoustic one too - just your voice and an instrument, maaaaybe some backing vocals… Even though polishing something to perfection is very satisfying and I truly admire the patience and talent that’s put into the end result we get to hear, I kinda miss the raw, emotional side that sometimes fades out or gets overwhelmed by all the tuning and upgrading. But I guess that’s my overall opinion of modern pop music, all in all I think this song is amazing, thank you, Joel, for sharing your music with us! 🙏😊

The lyrics resonated with me and and how hard letting go of a perfectly wonderful person who just isn’t right for you is. This “feel” doesn’t fit that, even if it’s catchy as hell.

I really like hearing the stages of songs.. so often we only hear the final “polished” versions and not all the steps to get to that point.. and it’s deflating thinking you can’t achieve that final sound “naturally”… it’s hard to remember there’s an entire team creating the final sound.
