November 2025 Update
Added 2025-11-05 13:18:01 +0000 UTCHi everyone! It’s been a while, so I thought I’d check in with a quick update. These last few months have been extremely productive and filled with good news.
First of all, I signed a contract with Podium, and they’ve agreed to do the first three books of the Mana Arts Saga in audio format! Suzy Jackson will be the narrator (she also did my Aeonica series, along with Brandon Sanderson’s Skyward series). Whether Podium continues with the rest of the series will depend on the sales of the first three books, but I have high hopes.
Second, I rewrote Web of Knowledge (Book 3), and the final draft is with the copy-editor now. That book should be ready to publish in early 2026.
Finally, I’ve finished all the planning work for Book 6, which I’m now calling Web of Blades. This included several weeks where I just focused on worldbuilding, outlining all the geography, families, history, customs, etc. Until now, I’ve always improvised my worldbuilding on the fly, so it will be interesting to see how this approach differs.
I’ve also finished a detailed outline for Book 6, along with a looser outline for Book 7. I’m still not 100% sure how many books this series will have, but it will be either seven or eight. I’m leaning toward seven, because I’d rather finish with two great books rather than three average ones.
Anyway, I’ve begun the actual writing for Book 6, and I should be posting the first chapters very soon!
