On the Cat People one, I did find it jarring cause I never heard it before but I put that with the pile of his Ennio Morricone flips, and other movie scores he's used. For the Foxy Brown Holy Matrimony use, Max is literally in a Sam Goodie in present day, which I'll Na Na came out in 96' and was playing in the store. That's how my brain accepted those.

2024-10-09 01:00:29 +0000 UTCMegalopolis was a whopper indeed! If they don’t do a full episode on it I’m sure we’ll hear at least one of their takes on it.

2024-10-08 02:01:05 +0000 UTCMegalopolis is buckwild nonsense, would be fun to hear Joe & Pat crucify it... Plus you gotta see Shia LaBeoufs slutty little eyebrows

2024-10-04 15:33:21 +0000 UTCI haven’t seen it but surely they must talk about that lady getting pooped on.

2024-10-02 03:54:45 +0000 UTCKinda surprised y’all boys didn’t say you’d be doing Megalopolis. Not since Siskel and Ebert have I cared so much about whether or not two critics felt the same way as me about a film

2024-10-02 00:40:06 +0000 UTCAnyone else watch the new Netflix Vince McMahon documentary? It’s good. I’m endlessly fascinated by that dude. Pat and Joe reviewing it would be really cool 😎

2024-09-28 10:11:58 +0000 UTCMy (probably wrong) theory about the Tom Petty covers: the first couple I heard on the show, I was thinking "This is probably what a Key West cover band thinks a boorish American tourist listens to", so maybe it was a silly dig at that? Edit: Joe, if you want to feel like your 8-year old self again (but still enjoy as an adult), check out The Aquabats! Super Show! They're a rock band that moonlights as inept out-of-shape superheroes, fighting low-budget monsters every week. Lots of cool cameos, too.

2024-09-27 23:56:23 +0000 UTCI have to swing by and recommend Gravity Falls, which is kind of similar vibe.

2024-09-27 18:20:38 +0000 UTCMovie was bad. Glenn Close was great, gloriously over the top and camp.

2024-09-25 14:26:03 +0000 UTCI turned off the deliverance 5 min in, i don’t think we watched the same movie: that dinner scene terrible and Glenn close is equally as terrible

2024-09-25 13:50:36 +0000 UTCI mean…pretty close is it not?

2024-09-25 12:07:38 +0000 UTCThey're opening complaint that there's already a movie called 'Deliverance' is funny since the movie they're reviewing is called , 'The Deliverance' , NOT the same title . Close , no cigar .

2024-09-25 01:08:32 +0000 UTCPat says all references don’t need to be current, but Pat also had a lot to say about the girls from Ben heads using a Tom Waits song

2024-09-24 23:59:52 +0000 UTCI agree, also Cannibal the Musical is easily one of the best things they've ever made imo

2024-09-24 20:16:43 +0000 UTCOver the garden wall is one of my favorites! I didn't know about the claymation coming out. That's exciting!

2024-09-24 18:51:52 +0000 UTCThe song in the trailer for Salems Lot is, famously, what Joe parodied and workshopped on a previous episode. “Bung Sound, I’m gonna break wind”
Ryan Thomson
2024-09-24 18:37:20 +0000 UTCThe petty covers are not true to form, they sung by a woman and played with acoustic instruments
