2024-06-28 17:17:21 +0000 UTCWhat makes A Serbian Film so horrifying, isn't just what happens, it's that it's actually kind of a good movie. It has good acting, cinematography, a good soundtrack, etc. It makes what you're seeing so much more convincing.

Joe’s suggested alternate ending wouldn’t work because while the Crow is getting revenge, he’s also standing up to an “evil” that seems impenetrable in that world. I think that’s what leads to the more grandiose climax. There’s a bit of that Batman Dark Knight vibe happening. He’s more than just the dude fighting back, he is a representation of something, but you kind of question it still.
