July Episode Two - Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

As promised, the boys review the Dial of Destiny! A farewell to Indy and a hello to a new ep! Enjoy!

Comments

Just watched last night. I liked it a lot but the boys keep saying they go back to the 1500s when they go actually back to 214 BC to the Siege of Syracuse.

Rick

Galaxie was a cool song. Thanks for the recommendation Joe!

Tom E

Yeah. it is... I asked Rex Reed.

Dirk Overton

Incorrect.

I agree with Pat. I think the action sequences were underwhelming because of how much great content we had this year. John Wick... Extraction... most of of us had been rewatching the MI series... and we're in a time where quality action is also on TV. And sure, Indy favors the adventure-style action over the more popular martial arts or gun-fu, so maybe our expectations need a little adjustment to fully appreciate it.

... and in the same month, A24 brings out a better "Evil Dead" movie than Evil Dead🙃

Dirk Overton

It's kinda funny that Blumhouse is crushing Indy...it's like Jasey-Babes pissing on Joe's Past, Present...and Future!

Pat! Galaxy is a great tune. My favorite melon song is prolly their cover of steppenwolfs "pusher man" check it out!

The movie has some good parts but it made no sense. And he didn’t choose to go back to Marion. He wanted to stay with Aristotle but he got knocked out by a lady. I like that he was involved in a plane crash I feel like Harrison Ford wrote that into the script. But why would Aristotle make the Dial if it doesn’t help him win the war? The American nazis sot down one Roman boat, but otherwise made no difference. And how did the Dial end up back with Indy? How are they going to clear Indy’s name against the murder charges? What was up with the crutches guy? The kid that never flew an airplane or swam does both perfectly?

Michael Whitsett

I’m glad Pat updated us on Barnes and Noble and the worker was cool and not brain dead

Seth

Yes, Change, No Rain and Tones of Home are the 3 highlights of the self titled Blind Melon album

Dogliani

This was the best review I've heard/read yet. Super fair and nuanced.

Luke P

Didn’t they have another hit on No Rain called “Change”?

Amanda

Hey Joe, guess you never go to the Bronx because we were flooded out, so New York doesn’t compass other borough

Julie Bayley

Patty, 'Soup' by Blind Melon is a no-skip album. Highly suggest listening to the entire thing

Dogliani

I’m tumescent

Ian

I have been constantly refreshing this feed for weeks waiting for this to appear 🙏
