June Episode Two - Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome

We don't need another hero! Or do we?! Here's the flick that spawned the song, yet begged the question! In tribute to one of the greatest singers / performers / dancers / wasteland villains, we tip our hats to Tina Turner by reviewing this WILD Mad Max adventure! Is it polarizing? Sure. But so is asking who runs Bartertown! Folks!

If Hornswoggle likes your bar, that’s how you know you’ve made it. Proud of ya Joey!

Maxwell Ashcroft

It’s actually called “Leprechaun 6: Back 2 Tha Hood” and I did not misspell it! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Rick

I’m not ashamed to say I own the A Star is Born vinyl.

I love the way Pat & Joe talk about mental health. Really warms my icy heart! Side note: I heard glitches in Pat’s audio throughout the episode.

I’m GenXer that saw Road Warrior premiere. I could see George Miller trying to convince studio to allow Mel as cameo character, but from $$$$ point of view, Tom Hardy is Max from here on. Fury boosted the character to larger audience that doesn’t care about previous movies. Tom’s in Furiosa prequel.

joes shit taste never ceases to amaze me

Glad to hear about Pat doing well being sober and the therapy working! Maybe it’s just bc my state lately hasn’t been great, but I always appreciate it whenever the boys get into some deep stuff like that on the pod 🙏🏼 😊

Damnit Pat! I fucking live in Ventura! I would’ve shown up to the show and had a drink with….errrrr…. For you!

Marathon Man! Fuck yeah! I was a senior in high school delivering for Pizza Hut on New Year's Eve, 92 into 93. Worked too late for fun and went home and watched it on channel 38, not knowing anything about it. It blew my mind. I was the movie dork explaining why the Seinfeld scene with the old German lady on the bus screaming to stop Kramer was funny. If you've never seen it give yourself a mid 70's treat folks!

For an ep in the future my friend would love some WSYIH after dark. You guys could talk about your top 5 most memorable nude scenes in movies. My friend thought it would be a good idea.
