My girlfriend hadn’t seen it and we were listening to this podcast and I was like wait you haven’t seen this? Paused it. We watched it immediately and the entire time I couldn’t believe that Nolan throws bale in your face so many times as his disguised brother. The make up and prosthetics are just enough to make him look off but he has a few shots where you see his eyes and the camera hangs on his face enough and it’s so obviously bale and yet you don’t see it coming at all. Awesome movie.

It’s absolutely incredible what you get out of this movie every additional viewing. I couldn’t even remember the opening scenes even though this is my 6th or so viewing. That seems to be the real talent of Nolan’s direction and writing. Even in his least acclaimed flicks, he still manages to make you forget about the plot holes that I’ve heard some point out. Your focus is on where the movie is at and where it’s going, not where it was and how we got here. Also, whoa, early Rebecca Hall! Please do an episode on The Gift
