I have become a YUUGE Springsteen fan in just the last few months. Born to Run, Darkness on the edge of town, The River, Nebraska, Born in the USA, Tunnel of Love. 6 great albums in a row with only a couple stinkers on there.

When is Pat going to tell us more about his own experience playing guitar and writing songs in a band?

Evan Keller

Delighted to hear Pat mention Perfect Blue, which I’ve read was an influence on Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream. Cool stuff.

Edmond Aggabao

P.S. the Tarquin Gotch bit was one of the funniest things I’ve heard, ever.

Have never felt more like a podcast was recorded *specifically* for me. From Pat’s hilarious rendition of the Don’t You (Forget About Me) opening (a top 5 song of mine) to the Corky “ow are ou” greeting which I use regularly/no one gets, and on and on. Too much to list. (As both a SotLambs AND a Pretty in Pink obsessive I must point out that Goodbye Horses is *not* Bring on the Dancing ones, but I assume he’s realized this by now.) Speaking of Echo, anyone going to Cruel World fest next month in Pasadena? Incredible line up! John Hughes approved ✔️ New Wave forever 💫

Pat! I loved hearing about your LSD experience! It sounds like it was perfect. Something about that guy mentioning it to you twenty years ago makes it special. And to me, that’s perfectly inline with what the psychedelic experience is about. And the hippy girl who gave it to you as a gift? Yep… she bought it from him at Burning Man. 🤯🤯🤯

I think i own this same pair of headphones, if they are the same ones I'm thinking of, Pat got a hell of a deal

Matt Garcia

OK Pat, you're almost there. Half a tab and Oingo Boingo's 1995 farewell concert video if you can find it..might change your mind on them. If you start freaking out just have Police Academy 2 ready to go, you'll be fine.

Bob Uzaka

It’s got a naked young Ed Harris if that’s your thing too, it might be my thing

Will Pottorff

Thanks! Make sure Sennheiser gives you a kickback for that Patty Walsh Bump!

Alex Shipley

Never seen!

We'll See You In Hell

Sennheiser HD 650. I got them under $300, you just gotta wait out a sale. They're great but open ear which may not be for everybody. I did a lot of research tho fwiw.

We'll See You In Hell

You're right. Shameful. I need to issue a correction.

We'll See You In Hell

Same! I was just looking for a pair

Nick Gonzalez

Nice episode Pat, btw, Silence of Lambs song is “Goodbye Horses by Q. Lazzarus… the CINEMA SHOCK podcast did a deep dive series of Jordorowsky’s movies. Highly recommended!

Bill Owen

Is this perhaps the crown jewel of PMC episodes? I'd like to think so

Dogliani

And Pat if you ever find yourself flying high with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds again and you're looking for a new psychedelic filmic triptych, I'd recommend The Happiness of the Katakuris, Mind Game, and The Boxer’s Omen.

FrancoGonzo

I don't comment often but is best. This is the best! Ty

Interesting Pat chose to omit KNIGHT RIDERS from Romero’s filmography, what are you afraid of WALSH?!? Trashing a horror master’s body of work without seeing the greatest “guys in knight costume joust on motorcycles” movie of all time seems like the work of a COWARD!

Will Pottorff

Mr Pat Walsh, man of great wealth and taste, can you please drop the brand name of your chosen vinyl headphones? I'm ready to get a nice pair for myself.

Alex Shipley

Discussions of the many un produced John Hughes scripts are intriguing and a little sad https://www.vulture.com/2012/07/the-lost-projects-of-john-hughes.html

If ever there were to be a resurgence of the commentary episode, The Holy Mountain would (should and 🤞can still be) it. How sweet it would be to hear Joe writhe in disgust on a millisecond to millisecond basis scarfing down hoagies as Christs stand-in chows down on his own cakeified face. A cinefile can only dream 🥺
