"This Fat Kid with Freckles'" name is Patrick Renna. The first time I went to Hollywood I was 10-years-old, the year was 2000. While attending the public premiere of The Perfect Storm, at what was then called Mann's Chinese Theatre, Mr. Renna and I shared adjacent urinals before the show began.

I loved the real time time background keyboard SFX of Pat doing a little computer research in the solo corn. It really gives off those tech guy man in a van mission impossible ghost proatz vibes. Unintentional maybe, but it really made me laugh. Another gem as always! Thank you!

My local independent cinema does classic doubles (buy oddly only Monday nights, which so-far has ruled me out!) They're $15AUD (AUstralian Dingoes) which would be $10USD...pretty great. The next three weeks are... Harold & Maude/Barbarella Modern Times/The Great Dictator Top Gun/Maverick

Hell yeah! And Demons 2 is easily as good as the first. Might even slightly prefer it.

Thanks for a great ep Paddie, and the two- for-one value! I've never seen The Americans but I saw Marlon Williams live recently & he said he became so obsessed with the show he wrote & sent a song to Keri Russel called "thinking of nina", it really made me want to check it out. *he never heard back by the way😞

Dirk Overton

Outside of special screenings at the Alamo Drafthouse or something, I think the last double feature I went to was Spawn in 1997. I don’t remember what the other movie was.

SludgeWizard

You guys ever gonna check out Bava's Demons? Terrifying film!

Kodex

Best opening in a while. Great pod as always patty cakes 👌

Kodex

Ahhh so-so good!! (really under seen&under rated) Bad Education, Him & Her, How Not To Live Your Life are a cutla others I really got into (with a similar vibe!) 😄👍

Calling call members of Tubi Nation, just completed the BBC series Fresh Meat, a great sitcom about university housemates in Manchester. Sex, drugs, heartbreak, boozing and social satire in that unique way the best of UK comedy mixes cheeky raunch with intelligent insight.

Yo no one starts a podcast off like Pat Walsh do.

Love the Lucinda Williams love, Fruits of My Labor is great. My personal favs are Real Live Bleeding Fingers and I Lost It.

And you sound exactly like I was — I have an addicted/obsessive personality so I was seriously obsessed with movies. I’d look at the ads in the paper every day, I looked forward to my Entertainment Weekly every Monday, encyclopedia knowledge of movies and actors.

Larkin Hill

Sidekicks is fucking shit haha! My best friend and I used to make fun of it (we’re your age) and still do. To this day, neither of us have seen it.

Larkin Hill

Hey Pat, you said you love father/son movies. Nothing In Common with Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason is on Tubi if it's been a while since you've seen it and you want a rewatch. It's my favorite Garry Marshall film.

David Bellinger

I'm a black woman living in Indiana, and I saw a big ol' billboard for the Ms. Pat show, thought of you and smiled. I think it's so great that you work on that show. She's such a interesting person. And YOU'RE such an interesting person, love the solo corners! Thank you!

As an AMC Stubs card carrying member *brag* and a marketing major grad *bigger brag*, I do love that their most recent form of marketing is, wait for it… charge more for good seats and less for bad ones. Boy that oughta do it!

Christian Grant

Did not expect to hear IYAZ today, especially from the mouth of one Patty Walsh.
