I thought the prosthetics were very convincing, and they didn't take me out of the movie at all. I did think it was badly written and stagey. I didn't like any of the characters, particularly the daughter, who is awful from the jump. And I didn't find anyone's performance to be particularly special. I'm also gonna go ahead and disagree with you that "Fat Guy on Couch is Really Fat" is a "tremendous story." All Joe and I do is go against the critical grain, often at the risk of our professional lives. What the fuck are you talking about? Everyone is saying Brendan Fraser is amazing in the movie -- I disagree! That's the very definition of going against the grain! You liked the movie, I didn't. That's ok, dude. "Come back to being a movie reviewer?" Eat me. Anyway smooches.
