I went to a private Christian school K - 12 (sorry they didn't offer a refund, DAD) and this whole "but seriously" side of comedy reminds me a lot of Christian bands and Christian comedians (yes they existed, shoutout to Gordon Douglas). But that stuff had the same thing that made it lame, this idea of "alright enough fun, time to get serious for a moment..."
