2022-03-16 03:49:55 +0000 UTCJoe and Pat are spot on with their Flanagan takes. Am definitely a fan of his movies, but his sad ass characters and ridiculous amount of monologues have turned me off to his TV series at this point.

2022-02-25 02:21:07 +0000 UTC*spoliler* What baffled me was that Monsignor comes back as a younger version of himself. literally the same person. 95% of town would instantly recognize this man, especially the older folks, by his looks and his voice…or at bare minimum think he’s related. Doesn’t occur to anyone except the priest-aide lady. I thought it was a great show, but I did fast forward through a couple monologues in the later episodes…very Salems lot, but better imo

I figured the same thing was going on with vampires in "Midnight Mass". No Dracula, etc. Made it easier to accept the naivete of the townsfolk. Also, alternate China joke -"How about this noodle, folks?"
