It's weird because they feel the need to meet PC/progressive quotas, so they end up crowbarring all of these different people into the film. In all honesty, there shouldn't be many, if ANY, non-white people in the movie. It takes place in a well-to-do suburb. I am sorry, but places like that, especially suburbs, aren't overflowing with diversity. It's just not realistic. It all feels forced and it suffers because of it. This is also blatantly obvious when it comes to the gay couple as well. It's all purely done to meet quotas and to try and appease the PC wolf pack looking for fresh meat. The mob justice aside was just a horrific attempt at social commentary. It has no place in most horror films, especially supposed "slashers."

I love how he injects the old Rob Zombie "white trash/carny" aspect into it. It changes it up and adds something to the franchise that makes it his own.
