Hey, boys. PETA is definitely not on set. Only certified, accredited animal welfare groups can perform that role, of which there is one, American Humane. PETA is considered the ambulance chaser of that world, which is why they only pop up for the biggest budget events. Their model is to either sue for profit or receive income from donations specific to whatever thing they’re protesting. Interestingly 90% of their income goes to marketing and PR while the remaining 10% is split amongst various types of “animal rescue” facilities. You may remember one such facility in the news, which ended up being an all kill shelter where animals were dropped off, immediately euthanized and tossed in their dumpster. Outstanding folks.
