Just came to say two things. Love the pod. And the plural of octopus is in fact octopuses not octopi. Something to do with the fact the word is Greek in origin and not Latin.

The answer, which reinforces the satire, is that it doesn’t matter if it is real or not - because of his wealth, race, looks, and status, absolutely nothing he does actually matters, he’ll never be held accountable for his crimes, be they real or imagined, even if he longs for punishment. The world in which Patrick Bateman exists has no room for accountability. Be his crimes real or imagined, it doesn’t matter, because he simply...is not...there.

2021-05-15 18:32:35 +0000 UTCGlamorama is my favorite book, but it gets completely overshadowed by AP. Also in Lunar Park Ellis says Bateman was living in a fantasy world. Tim Price (Brice in the movie) is the character that disappears early on and returns at the end "for the sake of form"
