Hi Everyone!
Introducing my new Triceratops design! I've loved dinosaurs since I was a little kid. Like many kids, the Triceratops was my absolute favorite. It was really fun to make, and I'm excited to share it!
I wanted this fella to be able to hold various head poses, so I designed an updated snap-fit joint that has a snug and poseable fit. Check out a quick Demo Video Here!

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:
Head: Snap-Fit to Body. Pre-Supported for easy printing. No additional support needed.
Body: Print-In-Place. No additional support needed.
Multicolor 3MF: includes multicolor 3MF file that is compatible with both PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio
Misc: Test Fit objects (Ball and Socket): These are trimmed down versions of the head snap fit joint. Due to tolerance variation in printers, there is a chance that the fit could be too tight or too loose. You can print these test files to either dial in your printer settings, or make fine scale adjustments of the head scale in order to find the fit that works best for you. Note, tight joints will loosen somewhat as they wear-in.
5%-15% Infill.
3 Walls.
This should generally scale down to about 65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. YMMV

2024-03-25 14:32:55 +0000 UTCBrims can be great! I often suggest using a larger brim gap than the default. That will still help with adhesion, but also make them easier to remove. I would try something like a 0.3mm gap and see how it works!

I have a ender 3 pro that is not my friend and an Elegoo Neptune 3pro that is lol which is the printer I was making this one on. Until I get a Bambu one its the best Ive got ;)
