I remember living in Lebanon in 2007 and Hezbollah made a game about the 2006 War with Israel and the first level was capturing 6 Israeli soldiers on the border. Pretty sweet game not gonna lie.

IDK if it's outside your interest or scope but some other early internet drama communities I think would be interesting to cover would be livejournal's ONTD and sf_drama and reddit's ShitRedditSays. SRS in particular was never a huge community but the amount of frothing rage they generated from the rest of reddit at large just from pointing out how the most vile garbage was heavily upvoted was crazy.

maia crimew's name is not pronounced crime-w, it's cri-mew as in a mix of the word crime and mew like meow or a cats sound. there's also an example of how to pronounce the name on its wikipedia page (note a)

Can I share a thought and 2 cents? I think your podcast would work a lot better without the hour constraint you're putting on it. It does get kinda weird and tiring hearing every episode "we're almost at the hour and we haven't even covered half of what we had." It's almost Alex Jones level with his stacks of documents he will get to. I'm sure that there was a reason for this, but maybe for the patreon shows you could run a little longer if you need.

Yes...Yes! Newgrounds is ripe for a current retro analysis (retrospective? Words be tricksy) cos pretty much all I remember from those days are the edgy and/or political "parody" games that me n my buddies in computing college course wasted our time perusing instead of learning lol ---+---- Oh, with anonymous am pretty sure it's either headed by or compromised by informants nowadays, which at first was suspicion due to their activities unwilling to challenge actual authorities and systems of late, but later somewhat slightly confirmed after reading accounts of people within who directly spoke of experiences with informants and users that went silent for periods only to return with different speech patterns and dodgier incriminating plans that gave them cold feet enough to back out.
