Hi Coury! I'm a huge fan and listened to your surgical story with fascination. I'm a pediatric surgeon and do all those surgeries. Just an FYI - pilonidal disease (it's not really a cyst, it's a pseudocyst) is an acquired condition typically following an injury to the tailbone. It happens usually in adolescence. It's also called Jeep Disease because GIs in WWI developed it from the tiny bench seats in the back of jeeps that created injuries. Fetus in fetu is the absorption of a twin - it's defined by having a spine within the mass. Sacrococcygeal teratoma is a TUMOR that develops from different embryological lines that results in teeth, fat, etc. I'm glad you recovered from your pilonidal surgery.
