New show intro

These last few days while waiting for the GameCube episode to wrap up, I've been going through and refreshing our show intro with new shots. Essentially, the music and length are the exact same. In fact, it matches up shot for shot rhythmically to the previous one.
However, what began as a supposedly quick project has turned in a little bit more, with me creating 3 separate variations of the opening, each with different shots within the edit. Whether it be a certain game, expansion or peripheral (the light guns with the PS1 and 2), we tried to show different aspects of each system that you might not always think of when it comes to each console.
I removed all of the glitch effects that were present on the old version, instead using some flares and light leaks that that represent our current aesthetic a little bit more.
This is just the first version of the opening that'll be attached to the GameCube episode. The other two will show up on episodes down the road.
Anyway, since people tend to like our intro, I thought I'd give our Patrons a first look!

I'd love to add film grain to it. Unfortunately, it tends to play havoc with YouTube's compression. The glitch effect may make a return someday, it's just hard to tell when. We just felt that it didn't match with our current style of show , but that could change again in the future - maybe try to find a happy medium.

2016-03-16 03:56:00 +0000 UTCIf you're going to have light leaks, you should add film grain. Otherwise it doesn't really make sense... I liked the glitch effects :-) It certainly matched the YouTube generation.
