Games That Made Me: Episode 1 - The Hugo Trilogy

Hello Patrons! Every so often, I'll get a compulsion to talk about a game that means something to me but is pretty distant from my usual channel content. Well, I've decided to turn that into something productive. This is the first episode of "Games That Made Me", a short-form series where I look at games from formative periods of my life, games with special meaning to me. Given how quickly I can make these videos, I'll probably do this similarly to Majuularcade where I'll make an episode to break up the monotony of longer videos, or just whenever I have something I'm interested in talking about.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video! This episode is about the Hugo games, a series of adventure games released in the early 90s and some of the first games I remember playing.

Your enjoyment of replaying these games is contagious. Love it. Major secondhand nostalgia! Adventure games in your Dad’s workshop reminds me of playing Lost Eden and Fate of Atlantis in my Dad’s classroom after school. Never finished either. Lost Eden gave me nightmares. That face in the cave would have scared the shit out of me

Man, that's amazing to hear! Love it when that happens.

Maj, you just solved a mystery for me that I've been wondering for basically my whole life. One of my earliest memories is watching my sister play Hugo 3: Jungle of Doom, but I never knew the name of it, so I could never find it to resolve the nostalgic images. I now know, thank you!
