Harry Potter: The Mage's Path Chapter 37

Hi all,

Here’s the next chapter. Harry rescues his godfather, and the compensation from Ragnok is complicated.

26th August

Harry knocked on the door of the Headmaster's office and entered. He was summoned to the office because John had returned, and he had brought some guests with him. That was all Dumbledore shared in the note Fawkes delivered to him, so he was curious by the secrecy.

Alongside Dumbledore and John, there were two others in the office. He hadn't seen the former Abyss resident in a while, but he assumed that he was still working undercover for Dumbledore. The first of the two new faces was a petite woman with pink hair, dressed in black robes and a witch's hat. She looked like she could be Tonk's younger sister.

The other person was bizarre. A bare-chested man with a wolf pelt obscuring his face, and fur wrapped around his waist. He stood behind his companion's chair as if guarding her.

"Harry, I would like to introduce you to the two individuals that will be staying here at the castle for the foreseeable future," Dumbledore said.

"Who are they?" Harry asked, sitting in a chair beside the woman. She gave him a wink.

"They are your guardian angels," John said. "Someone has hired them to protect you."

"What?" Harry stared at the newcomers incredulously. "Someone hired you? Are you mercenaries?"

"That's right, buckaroo," the woman replied. "My name is Lolikiano Mistrim, and this is my partner, Horupitia. We are mercenaries that usually ply our trade in the Abyss."

"The Abyss?" Harry's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Who hired you?"

"I cannot say," Lolikiano answered. "We are under a magical contract that prevents us from revealing our client. There is serious magic involved that would kill us if we broke it. Not that we could.”

"Well, you can waltz right on out of here," Harry said. "I don't need protection, especially from strangers who cannot verify their intentions. How am I supposed to know what you say is true? It could be a ploy to kidnap me or worse."

"Good grief. Spare me from the angsty teen boys," Lolikiano sighed. "Horupitia and I have already given magical vows to Dumbledore that we mean you no harm, or else we wouldn't have been sitting here. For your peace of mind, we will do another vow for you. Aren't you lucky I am so gracious, sweetheart?"

Harry watched as they took the magical vow, looking for any loophole they could exploit in the phrasing, but it sounded legitimate. Horuptia was required to speak to make the vow, and it was a deep voice that sounded rusty from disuse.

His mind was occupied by the mystery of who exactly hired these two to protect him. His mother was the obvious answer, but there were a number of problems with that idea. If she was able to hire the mercenaries, then it suggested that she had a certain degree of autonomy in the Abyss. Why hadn't she come to get him if she wasn't imprisoned or hurt in some way? Was there a reason she couldn't come here herself? It only raises further questions. The two in front of him were his best bet for finding out about his mother, but they were unable to provide any information. It was frustrating.

"Have you been to the fifth realm in the Abyss?" Harry asked, trying to get the information with an indirect question.

"We have been to all the realms, except the ninth," Lolikiana said. "You don't want to go there, dollface."

"Have you been to the fifth realm recently?" Harry pressed.

"I can't recall," Lolikiano said, twirling a strand of hair with her finger. "You may as well give it up. The magic involved will not help you get your answers, no matter how you phrase the question, Bambi."

"Will you stop with the nicknames?" Harry glared at her.

"I could......Munchkin," Lolikiano giggled.

Harry turned towards Dumbledore. He was done interacting with the aggravating woman. "If that is all, I am leaving before I burst a blood vessel."

"Okay, Harry. They will be around the castle from now on, looking out for you. Do try and get along."

"Sure, I will cast a silencing spell on her. It will improve her likableness tremendously.'

"I like the kid," Lolikiano divulged to Horuptia. "He reminds me of my younger self. A lot of attitude."

Harry walked towards the door, but before he left, he decided to get a read on their abilities. He used Observation on Lolikiano but quickly realised that it was a mistake. Not only did it fail, but they noticed that he had tried something.

Horuptia turned his head, and although he couldn't see his eyes, he was terrified by his gaze. He felt like he was being stared at by an apex predator, and he was its next meal. Harry was temporarily frozen in place but managed to shake himself out of his stupor. Although, it may have been because Horuptia had turned his head back around, and not because of his own efforts.

"I don't suggest trying that again," Lolikiano said, sounding absolutely serious for the first time. "It is bad etiquette to try and scry us like that."

"Harry, what's going on?" Dumbledore asked with concern.

"The boy tried some sort of scrying spell to get a read on our abilities," Lolikiano replied. "I don't know what kind of magic it is, but it's impressive nonetheless. This assignment may be more fun than I realised if my charge is so amazing already."

Chagrined, Harry left the Headmaster’s office before he was forced to answer some awkward questions. Note to self: do not use Observation on strangers where he couldn’t estimate their strengths and abilities beforehand. He was lucky he hadn't tried to read Dumbledore before. Harry doubted he would be willing to let it go so easily.

27th August

Harry had thought of a plan to rescue his godfather, and it was simplistic in its approach. The hardest part to pull off would not be the rescue itself, but ensuring that he was seen by others while it was taking place.

It required another person to help him. He needed someone who he could trust, and wasn’t afraid to do something illegal. His first thought had been of Hermione, but he dismissed the idea almost immediately. While he knew that he could convince her to do it, he didn’t want to put her in that position. Additionally, there was always the chance that it went pear-shaped, and her involvement would come to light. He would never forgive himself if something happened to her.

Remus had been his next thought, but the man was a werewolf. Harry’s plan was to get someone to drink the Polyjuice Potion that contained a bit of himself, so they would take on his appearance. However, the potion didn’t work on werewolves, so Remus was out of the question.

Besides, he was a bit leery about asking Remus, as their relationship was still on rocky ground. Sure, the man was genial enough, and made some effort to talk to him, but Harry was usually the initiator. The man made no attempt to seek him out on his own, unless it was business related to the running of his estate. He didn’t know what the man’s deal was, but he would have to talk with him at some point.

Harry never considered Tonks for a second. She was an Auror in training, and he wouldn’t ask her to risk her career for him. Which left him with only one option left, loath that he was to take it. He was going to ask the new residents of the castle for their help.

“What can I do for you, Jellybean?” Lolikiano asked when Harry waylaid her in the Great Hall.

“You were hired to help me, right?” Harry said. “I need you to do something, but you're not allowed to tell anyone what it is.”

“I only have to make sure you don’t die, not obey your orders,” Lolikiano replied. “But tell me what it is. If it sounds entertaining enough, then I will consider it.”

Harry looked around to check if anyone could overhear their conversation, but there was no one else in the hall. “I need you to pretend to be me. I will give you a Polyjuice Potion so you will take my appearance for an hour. I need to be seen by witnesses while I am off doing something else.”

“Something illegal I suppose?” Lolikiana clapped her hands. “How exciting. What are you going to be doing? Rob a bank? Burn a house down? Kill someone? Please tell me it’s the latter.”

“You don’t need to know.”

“Then I won’t help you,” Lolikiano sighed. “I ain’t no fool. Even if I play loose with the law sometimes, I am not going to do it without a reason.”

Harry knew he couldn’t get away from telling her what he was up to. That would be too easy. Taking a breath, he told her the whole story of his godfather. About how the Minister was blocking his attempts to get a trial, even though his innocence had already been proven when he was questioned under Veritaserum. But he couldn’t go back to prison, because his life would be in danger again.

“Hmm, it sounds like you need to get rid of the Minister,” Lolikiano mused. “Do you want me to kill him? I will even give you a twenty per cent discount.”

Harry stared at her, unsure if she was serious. He considered the offer for a moment since it would solve a lot of problems for him and the magical world. Shaking his head, he let the thought go. Even if he stooped that low, he would not hire someone to do it. After all, one must take responsibility for one's own actions.

“Tempting, but I would like to try and help Sirius without resorting to violence first,” Harry said.

“Boring,” Lolikinao pouted. “Fine, I will go along with your plan. But I want a favour in return.”

“What sort of favour?”

“Secret!”

“Fine, I will owe you a favour,” Harry said, hoping he didn’t live to regret it.

“When do you want to do this?”

“Sirius will be coming out of his coma tomorrow, but he will stay in the hospital for another day for observation, so it has to be tomorrow. Let’s do it at noon when everyone is sitting in the Great Hall having lunch. Please do not do anything crazy while you're pretending to be me. They may get suspicious.”

“No promises.”

“I need to purchase a Polyjuice Potion,” Harry said, ignoring her mischievous look. “I’m sure there are Apothecaries that keep a supply of them under stasis charms.”

“No need,” Lolikiano said. “That potion is for amateurs.”

She clicked her fingers, and she changed into an exact copy of Harry in an instant. He gaped at her, unable to believe that she could change her form that quickly. Was it some kind of illusion?

“How did you do that? Are you a Metamorphagus?”

Maybe she was Tonks' younger sister.

“Secret!”

“Whatever,” Harry muttered, turning and walking away. He was already regretting asking for her help, but he could not back out now. Sirius will be free tomorrow, he was sure.

<====({owo})====>

28th August

Harry used ID Creation to teleport to the Peverell Crypt at noon the following day. He discovered that he could use the dungeon to travel to Godric's Hollow instantly, which was very convenient to get around. He just had to leave the dungeon when he arrived. It was unlike the Instant Dungeons, which didn’t have physical gates unless they were active.

Harry donned his Face-Changing Mask and summoned the Knight Bus to London. He got off on a street far from St Mungo's in order to hide his tracks. He probably didn't need such a precaution, but he couldn't underestimate what magic could do. Moody and Amelia Bones already knew about the mask, so it wasn't foolproof either. In hindsight, it was stupid of him to reveal its existence.

It took Harry fifteen minutes to reach the hospital. Harry scouted out the building a couple of days ago. He needed to know where Sirius' room was in relation to the building's exterior. His plan was to warp into his godfather's room with a series of small jumps. It was important for him to avoid warping straight into a wall or other obstacle. While the consequences were unknown, he imagined they would not be pleasant.

He warped a few times to reach the roof and located the spot he marked that was directly in line with Sirius’ room. It was important for him to act quickly since he knew that there had to be some kind of an alert system. The pair of Aurors outside the door would react immediately. If a fight broke out, he wasn't sure he stood a chance.

After putting on his Invisibility Cloak, he summoned his wand. After taking a deep breath, he warped to his first pre-planned destination, a supply closet. Warping into the room was a bit risky, as there was always the possibility that someone would be inside at the most inconvenient time. For this reason, he wore the Invisibility Cloak.

Then he warped into a patient's room two floors above Sirius' own. Besides the patient lying in his bed, the room was empty. The last jump landed him in Sirius' room.

“Who is there?” Sirius asked suspiciously, looking around in confusion. There was someone in the room with him, he was certain.

There was no time for Harry to explain. Because he was going to use ID Escape to break Sirius out, he didn't want his godfather to know what he was capable of. He poked his wand out of his cloak, which Sirius spotted immediately, but he was stunned before he could react. He slumped onto the bed, and Harry rushed forward to grab his arm.

An alarm sounded, and Harry tried not to freak out at how unexpectedly loud it was, ringing in his ears. There was only a short time left for him to escape. However, there was an unforeseen issue. The medical bed was equipped with magical restraints that held Sirius in place. There was no time for Harry to remove them, and he wasn't even sure if he was capable of doing so. It looked like the bed would go with them. He transported Sirius and the bed back to the Peverell Dungeon using ID Escape.

When the patient's health alarm sounded, the pair of Aurors outside the room were immediately alerted. The Aurors rushed into the room with their wands drawn. When they discovered that Sirius and the bed were missing, they were shocked.

The two men exchanged nervous looks. This was going to be difficult to explain to the boss.

“We need to send out an alert,” the older and more experienced Auror said. There is a tracking charm attached to the restraints. We will catch him again before he gets too far."

“Flip a coin?” the other Auror asked hopefully.

The prisoner's escape would be blamed on them regardless. Despite that, there was something to be said about the saying, ‘Shoot the Messenger’.

Sirius and Harry arrived at the Peverell Crypt entrance, but Harry fell over Sirius, who was still lying prone. Fortunately, the bed had fallen to the ground, upright. If it fell on him, he didn't want to imagine the pain.

Harry basked in his success for a moment. The plan worked almost flawlessly, with the only hiccup being the restraints. They must have restrained Sirius after he was brought out of his coma, and he berated himself for not thinking of that. His only saving grace was that the bed wasn't secured to the floor, otherwise, he might have failed. Oh well, live and learn.

If Lolikiano played her part well, he didn’t think the Aurors would be able to connect the breakout to him. Surely she wouldn't do anything crazy, right?

<====({owo})====>

Lolikiano, disguised as Harry, zoomed into the Great Hall, riding a broomstick. The occupants looked up in astonishment as she flew around the table, cackling madly. She even sounded like Harry.

“Mr Potter!”

“Harry!”

Minerva and Hermione stood up at once, looking scandalised at his behaviour. Flitwick fell from his chair laughing and Dumbledore looked amused, his blue eyes twinkling madly. The other teachers were a mix of amused and disapproving.

“Look out below,” Lolikiano shouted, throwing a bunch of stink bombs at the table.

They exploded on the table, and a cloud of toxic gas was released, which enveloped everyone sitting there. There were startled cries and coughing before Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore, working together, vanished the smoke with their wands.

Lolikiano looked at the carnage she had caused with glee. Everyone looked slightly green as they were covered in the stink bomb residue, and some of them were kneeling on the floor, puking their guts out. Harry wanted to ensure he was noticed, and she had definitely achieved that goal. She anticipated his heartfelt thanks when he returned.

"Harry," Hermione rose to her feet after a violent puking session. If looks could kill, she would have been eviscerated on the spot. Oops, she forgot his best friend was here. Harry had some grovelling to do in the near future.

“Get down here, Harry,” Dumbledore said, no longer looking amused. “I think a discussion in my office is needed.”

Lolikiano grinned and flew down to the ground. The lecture was going to be boring, but it was worth it for the chaos she caused. Celeste, who had been watching the scene from afar, gave the woman two thumbs up. Maybe she could learn a thing or two from her.

<====({owo})====>

Sirius awoke after Harry revived him. When the man opened his eyes and tried to get up from the bed, he was stopped by the restraints that bound him. He locked eyes with Harry.

“Who are you?” Sirius barked.

“What?” Harry asked confusedly. He realised that he was still wearing the Face-Changing Mask, so he took it off.

“Harry?” Sirius blinked. “What’s going on?”

“I helped you escape,” Harry stated.

“Harry!”

“Yes, I know you are overwhelmed with gratitude," Harry said humbly. “No need to thank me.”

“That’s not what I meant,” Sirius bellowed. “You are going to be in so much trouble.”

“They will never know it was me. I took precautions.”

Sirius raised his arms to show off the shackles, "And how about these? This is not the first time I've seen these kinds of restraints. Usually, they have tracking charms on them."

Harry paused. It was yet another thing that he overlooked. Before berating himself again, he thought about their location. As a result of Gaia's alteration, the Peverell Dungeon existed in another dimension. Does the Tracking Charm still work? To be sure, he examined the restraints.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief. That would have been troublesome if the Tracking Charm was still active. Although he didn’t think the Aurors could gain access to the Crypt, they would still know Sirius' general location. Although there was little to connect Harry to the Peverell family, there may be someone suspicious enough to look for a connection. He remembered Mr Lovegood mentioning he was a Peverell, so the idea wasn't completely unfounded.

“Don’t worry, the tracking charm won’t work here,” Harry assured him.

Sirius glanced around for the first time. They were in a small underground room. It was decrepit, with crumbling stone walls, and a musty old smell pervading it, although some effort had been made to clean the area up. There was a tent set up in the corner, which he assumed was where he would sleep. Harry must have planned his escape in advance.

“Where are we?” Sirius asked.

“The Peverell Crypt,” Harry replied, moving forward with his wand raised. Thankfully, he learned how to unlock the restraints.

“Dimitte Grim,” Harry said softly, touching Sirius' wrist cuffs with his wand. The incantation, translated into English, was literally ‘Release the Grim’. Someone has a sense of humour.

The cuffs were unlocked, and Harry pulled the chains off his godfather. Sirius looked at Harry in disbelief, astonished by his godson's capabilities. His godson seemed to be hiding many secrets, and he would discover just what they were in the future.

“I need to get going,” Harry said and pointed to the tent. “I purchased a magical tent, so you will have all the room and amenities you need to live here comfortably. There is enough food to keep you fed for months.”

"Do you want me to stay here?” Sirius asked incredulously. “In a Crypt?"

“It’s better than being in a coffin,” Harry said bluntly. “Because that's where you would likely end up if you return to Azkaban. Until we can figure another solution out, I recommend staying here.”

“Fine,” Sirius sighed.

“Good,” Harry nodded sharply. “Also, don't descend into the Crypt. There are protections there that will attack anyone that is not a descendent of the Peverell family.”

"Yeah, yeah," Sirius said as he stood. He peeked inside the tent and saw there was plenty of room inside. When he turned around, he was not surprised to see that his godson had disappeared. He hadn't even thanked him for what he did. Without a doubt, he knew that returning to Azkaban again would threaten his life.

Despite being grateful, he was still curious about his godson. Just who the hell was Harry, really?

<====({owo})====>

29th August

Harry had to travel to Gringotts to see the Overseer, so he disguised himself and flooed to Diagon Alley. Tonks, Proudfoot and himself were still waiting to receive their reward for saving Grelan, the Overseer’s daughter. It was fortunate timing, as he needed to leave the castle for some respite. Hermione and Neville were not speaking to him, and the Professors were sending him hateful glances, all because of that menace, Lolikiano.

When he returned to Hogwarts yesterday and swapped places with her, he almost strangled her when he discovered the chaos she had caused. There was no doubt that what she did drew plenty of attention, so his alibi was solid. However, the method she used meant he was persona non grata in the castle for the foreseeable future.

Amelia and a team of Aurors came to Hogwarts to question some people in the castle, especially him. Thankfully, his Occulumency was strong enough that he could remain calm under intense scrutiny. Despite Amerlia's suspicious glances, she had no proof that it was him. Remus was questioned as well, but he was also seen in the castle at the time of Sirius’ escape, so he was in the clear.

The Minister was not pleased. He went so far as to tell the Prime Minister, who issued an alert for his arrest. His godfather was featured in all of Britain's newspapers the next day. He looked insane in the mug shot they used to identify him, which was taken shortly after his arrest.

Also, Fudge issued a kill-on-sight order for Sirius, which pissed off Harry. He had no doubt that the man was taking orders from Lucius Malfoy. Harry expected the man to work quickly to secure the Black Lordship for his son. He needed to speak to Andromeda later today about Sirius’ kid.

Harry entered the bank, and a goblin approached him immediately.

“Mr Potter, come this way. You don’t want to keep the Overseer waiting,” the goblin said.

“Have Tonks and Proudfoot arrived?” Harry asked, almost running to keep up with the goblin.

“Yes. Unlike someone else, they showed up early,” the goblin growled.

“Sorry,” Harry said insincerely.

Harry was led deep into the bank down several different corridors before the goblin stopped in front of a set of huge bronze doors guarded by a pair of intimidating goblins.

“Mr Potter has arrived for his meeting with the Overseer,” the goblin said.

“Very well. He may enter,” one of them said, giving Harry a quick glance, before pushing open the heavy door with one arm.

Harry entered the room half expecting it to be similar to his Account Manager’s office, with the walls adorned with trophies for his kills and his weapons on full display. However, it couldn’t be more different. It was a very opulent room, with a long red carpet leading up to a mahogany desk, and a massive mural on the back wall, displaying a battle between goblins and wizards. The amount of gold on display was overdone in his opinion. It was used for everything; walls, fixtures, picture frames, and other pieces of furniture, making it look garish and tacky. Then again, displaying your wealth like this was probably a goblin trait. They probably had different ideas from humans about what was aesthetically pleasing.

Tonks and Proudfoot were already seated in their chairs facing the desk, where Overseer Ragnok was seated in his throne-like chair. Grelan was standing beside her father, and she ran over to greet Harry when she saw him enter.

“Harry,” Grelan enveloped him in a hug, looking up at him with a grin, revealing her fangs.

“Grelan, how are you doing?" he asked, taking her arm and approaching the desk.

“My father is too overprotective," Grelan replied with a sneer. “He has increased my security detail and restricted my movements. It is bothersome.”

“I can imagine,” Harry agreed, having experienced some of that at Hogwarts.

“Lord Potter, have a seat,” Ragnok said.

Harry took a seat and Grelan stood by his side, still holding his arm.

Ragnok observed them with a frown but didn’t comment. He quickly moved on to the reason why they were here. “I have thought about the matter, and I have decided to give all three of you the option between five thousand galleons or a material reward. In the case of the latter, I will open our own ancient vault and select an appropriate item for you."

"I will take the galleons," Tonks said immediately, which was echoed by Proudfoot. Harry couldn't blame them. It was five hundred thousand pounds when converted from galleons. Not a small sum at all, but probably pocket change for the Overseer. The item was potentially better, but that was a matter of perspective. Their idea of what was useful could differ a lot, which meant they could end up with an item they didn't like.

Ragnok nodded, "I will have the galleons transferred to your account momentarily. You may leave, as I wish to speak to Lord Potter alone."

After saying goodbye to Harry, they left, and he sat there, waiting for Ragnok to speak. The goblin looked hesitant, something that looked out of place on the leader of the Goblin Nation.

“The compensation I offer you may not be immediately useful, and may be slightly troublesome,” Ragnok said. “But it will pay huge dividends in the future.”

“What is it?”

“Due to my opposition's underhanded schemes, my nephew has been implicated in a crime that will see him executed, and his family exiled from the Goblin Nation.”

“Opposition? Maybe a competitor for your job? Is this related to Grelan's kidnapping?” Harry asked shrewdly.

“Very perceptive,” Ragnok said. “Not directly, but the same opposition was responsible for my daughter being kidnapped. He made a mistake moving against my family. It’s safe to say that his suffering will continue on for many years to come.”

“And you cannot clear your nephew of the crime?”

“No, the scheme was well executed,” Ragnok admitted. “There is too much evidence of his guilt, even if I know he isn't responsible.”

“So, what do you want from me?”

“There is one way in which I can ensure Rugrunt's safety, which would be to hand him over to you in servitude. Throughout the rest of his life, he will serve as your slave, but his wife and children will not be subject to the same restrictions. Considering that I have a debt of honour to you for your actions in saving my daughter, I believe that this is one way for me to circumvent my nephew's being executed. It is unlikely that he will be able to return to Gringotts, however."

“How does this benefit me?” Harry asked curiously. “Does Rugrunt have any special abilities?”

“Yes,” Ragnok said. "Rugrunt is one of our best miners. He has a knack for finding ores and precious gem nodes that are hidden deep within the earth. You would be able to make a lot of gold in a short amount of time if you were to put him to work."

Harry did not immediately reply, thinking over the implications of having a goblin in his servitude. Owning a slave was abhorrent, as he knew full well what it was like to be ordered around like he was nothing. However, while Rugrunt may be a slave in name, it didn’t mean that Harry wouldn't treat him fairly.

Another consideration that was taken into account was the fact that it would improve relations with Ragnok even further. The Goblin Nation may prove useful as an ally in the future. So far, they haven't concerned themselves with the dungeons, but they will most likely do so in the future. After all, they were fully capable of fighting. There were no downsides to the deal, as far as he could see.

“I will do it,” Harry said. “Just how big of a family am I taking on?”

Ragnok grinned, “Rugrunt’s wife, Tholia, is very fertile.”

Harry groaned. That could mean anything. He wasn’t knowledgeable about Goblin reproduction, and neither did he want to be. He may be looking at taking on a horde of the little Goblin terrors.

“I will bring Rugrunt and his family to you in a few days,” Ragnok said, looking relieved. “There is a ceremony that needs to happen for you to take ownership of him, but that can be done at Hogwarts.”

Harry nodded and rose from his seat. After saying goodbye to Grelan, the same goblin from before escorted him back to the entrance of the bank.

Now that his business was sorted for the moment, he can get back to the dungeons with his familiars. He was just a step away from ranking up to the Novice Mage Job. It was just in time, as it would allow him to do a few runs of the Nuckelavee Dungeon before the start of the school semester.

There was still a lot of unfinished business there.

So what do you think? I still need to update the familiar's progress, but this chapter was getting way too big already, so it will come next chapter.

Thanks for the support, everyone.

Shoutout to my Pro and Hardcore Gamers for the extra support.

Comments

I already have a plan for the ICW to get involved later, so I decided against the nonmagical solution. I already mentioned in the story that Amelia has been in contact with the ICW.

Ayo SPECIES CHANGE? hmmmm that could be wild! Seems cool! I'm kinda interested in this abyss/layers-of-hell plotline you're spinning here. Seems kinda weird but also kinda cool? Im torn between just wanting to see Harry and his companions power level, and the actual plotlines you're crafting. I'll need to see more of these bodyguard/hell-mercenaries to get a better feel of their personality. Cool stuff regardless. Thanks for the fun chapter!

Honestly forgot he's still only eleven. You've done a good job so far tbh, i just have to remember his age, even though it's difficult at times.

I'm trying not to make him perfect in every aspect. It's a fine balance to get it right. Even though he is more mature for his age, he is still only eleven. His emotions are going to lead him by the nose on occasion, and he will make mistakes.

Harry really needs to learn to think about things before doing them, half of his problems are basically from being impulsive. I know that's very like Harry in canon, but i can hope he actually gets better in this fic about that.
